Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) – a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit an EDRP application within four months of appointment. The award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review. • Serve as the VHSO Internal Medicine Resident Site Director.
• Lead the hospitalist team, supervising staff, fee‑basis, contract, and full/part‑time physicians.
• Act as the Medicine Service PUMA.
• Provide general internal medicine care, including patient assessment, management of acute exacerbations, and minor medical changes.
• Manage efficient patient flow and care transitions to minimize length of stay.
• Champion inpatient initiatives to improve quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Conduct academic bedside rounds and support medical resident supervision.
