The Role

We're hiring friendly, motivated Dental Assistants to join local dental offices near you. You'll support clinical teams, assist with patient care, and help create a positive experience for every patient. What You'll Do

  • Assist dentists during procedures.
  • Prep and clean treatment rooms.
  • Take X-rays (training available).
  • Record and update patient information.
  • Sterilize tools and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Support front-desk check-in and scheduling.
  • Share post-treatment care tips with patients.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive on average three nights out per week, and home every weekend. Overnight deliveries may be required.
  • 95% no-touch pickup and deliveries

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.   • Preferred Candidate Experience:
    • Experience in non‑invasive ambulatory cardiology, outpatient consultation, clinical management, and diagnostic evaluation.
    • Familiarity with comprehensive cardiovascular services, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgery.
    • Ability to identify, evaluate, and address cardiac diseases, prevention, and health‑promotion issues in the Veteran population.
  • Physical Requirements: ability to walk, sit, talk, drive, use the telephone; light lifting up to 15 pounds; hearing acceptable with aid. No strenuous activity required, but the incumbent must withstand daily pressure and stress.

Duties

The incumbent will serve as a Cardiologist within the Medicine and Cardiology Service at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston‑SC, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care.

  • Perform and record history and physical examinations; enter data from clinic visits.
  • Evaluate, consult, develop diagnoses, and manage Veterans.
  • Enter progress notes in the computerized medical record and complete workload documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide medical care for acute and chronic conditions and all appropriate preventive care for both male and female Veterans.
  • Order diagnostic tests, medications, and laboratory studies as medically relevant.
  • Provide timely follow‑up on results and patient inquiries, including viewing alerts, secure messages, and other patient communications.
  • Determine medical assessment and develop treatment plans according to accepted protocols.
  • Prescribe medications according to approved formulary and in accordance with federal and state law.
  • Educate patients concerning their medical conditions and recommended treatments, covering topics such as nutritional counseling, smoking cessation, immunizations, health screening, acute and chronic disease management, and other preventive health measures.
  • Consult other specialties as appropriate according to service agreements.
  • Perform cardiology procedures as warranted by qualifying training.
