SVP Platform Technologies Initial Objectives:

This should include recommendations for organizational structure, tooling, and optimal resource levels. Recommendation should include expected efficiencies and/or return on investment for changes proposed.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize AI to accelerate development and optimize resource levels.
  • Create a clear go to market strategy for Platform Technology in the State and Federal markets, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Product leadership. This plan should include pricing strategies, use cases and consider implementation and ongoing support needs.
  • Develop a plan to operationalize this go to market strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, including processes for evaluation of new opportunities to determine product or solution fit, sales support/demos, pricing and scoping, and hand off to implementation resources.
  • Work with Service Delivery leadership to establish consistent implementation methods that result in efficient delivery, effective management of project scope, higher client satisfaction, and internal and external visibility of implementation risk and related mitigation strategies throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Work with Divisional CIO to ensure that Platform Technologies are aligned with the Tyler cloud living initiative, and also that we have the appropriate infrastructure support in place, including security monitoring and incident handling.
  • Work with FP&A to understand unit economics of the platform technologies to ensure pricing and expense allocation models are aligned to support decision making, growth and improved profitability.
  • Work with Division leadership to refine the modernization strategy for existing custom solutions in the State market, to include appropriate solution identification with a product first focus. This should include a process to harvest IP that may be repeatable across the state market.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the State & Federal platform technology strategy, ensuring alignment with Tyler’s overall enterprise vision.

  • Design, assess, and implement secure Microsoft cloud solutions, with a primary focus on Azure security architecture and Microsoft security services.
  • Lead customer‑facing workshops, architecture discussions, technical discovery sessions, and implementation planning activities.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity challenges and determine how Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security services can be used to address customer requirements.
  • Provide pre‑sales engineering support, including solution design, technical scoping, and support for Statements of Work.
