Senior Product Manager, APIs & Ecosystem
Perry Weather
dallas, tx
Compensation: 150.000 - 190.000

Senior Product Manager, APIs & Ecosystem

About Perry Weather

Perry Weather helps organizations turn hyperlocal weather data into faster, safer decisions when lives, assets, and operations are on the line.

Our platform brings software, connected hardware, and real-time weather data into one system trusted by thousands of customers and millions of people each year — from Fortune 500 companies and professional sports leagues to major commercial builders, schools, cities, and golf courses.

The Role

Perry Weather is looking for a Senior Product Manager, APIs & Ecosystem to own the strategy, growth, and evolution of our API platform, integrations portfolio, and partner ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, partnerships, data, and go-to-market. You’ll be responsible for making Perry Weather deeply embedded within customer workflows, while helping expand our existing platform into a platform for new products, partnerships, and revenue streams.

Our data spans real-time sensor readings, forecast data, geospatial intelligence, event-driven alerts, and operational workflows. This role will shape how Perry Weather packages and distributes that data — whether through customer APIs, partner integrations, mesonet access, packaged insights, data products, or future forecast capabilities.

This is not a backlog management role. We’re looking for someone who thinks like a General Manager, acts like a PM, and is technical enough to turn APIs, integrations, and data products into meaningful business outcomes.

What You’ll Own

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and commercial strategy for Perry Weather’s APIs, webhooks, integrations, and developer experience across customer, partner, and internal use cases.

  • Prioritize integration opportunities based on customer value, revenue potential, strategic fit, technical feasibility, and ROI.

  • Work directly with customers and partners to define integration requirements, success metrics, commercial models, and go-to-market opportunities.

  • Launch high-impact integrations that embed Perry Weather into customer workflows across key verticals.

  • Oversee internal integrations between Perry Weather’s core applications and cross-functional operating systems like Acumatica, HubSpot, Zendesk, and similar platforms.

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships that create new distribution channels and drive meaningful revenue.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to turn integrations into repeatable growth plays.

  • Partner with Engineering to improve API usability, documentation, scalability, authentication, versioning, error handling, developer experience, and agent-friendly patterns that allow developers and AI assistants to safely discover and act on Perry Weather data.

  • Define Perry Weather’s emerging data-as-a-product strategy, turning our proprietary mesonet, operational insights, and forecast intelligence into new commercial products, partnerships, and platform capabilities.

  • Champion API-first thinking across the organization.

What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you will:

  • Launch integrations that materially improve enterprise adoption, retention, and expansion.

  • Build a clear ecosystem roadmap across customers, partners, verticals, internal systems, and data opportunities.

  • Improve Perry Weather’s API and developer experience.

  • Create embedded workflows that make Perry Weather a natural part of customer operations.

  • Turn one-off integration requests into scalable platform, data, and distribution opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • A commercially minded product builder with 5+ years of experience owning technical products, integrations, platform products, or ecosystem initiatives — and a track record of turning them into measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong GM instincts: able to evaluate markets, customers, partners, revenue potential, strategic fit, pricing, packaging, GTM motion, and ROI without waiting for someone else to lead the charge.

  • A customer- and partner-facing operator who can lead discovery, shape the right deal, define success, navigate tradeoffs, and build trust with external stakeholders.

  • Technical fluency across APIs, webhooks, authentication, data models, integration architecture, and developer workflows — enough to work credibly with Engineering and independently drive technical discovery.

  • Fluent with AI-enabled development tools and modern technical workflows, with the ability to prototype, test, troubleshoot, and accelerate integrations without relying on Engineering for every step.

  • A builder mindset: strategic enough to identify the right opportunities, hands-on enough to move them forward, and energized by ambiguity, autonomy, and early-stage ownership.

  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS/data platforms, IoT systems, and weather/geospatial data is a plus.

Benefits

  • You’ll actually want to come in. Our Oak Lawn office isn't just a place to sit, it's where ideas move fast and culture stays strong. The whole team is here Monday through Friday, which means real collaboration, no chasing people down over Slack, and a genuinely fun place to spend your work days.

  • Your wellbeing is covered. Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and a full suite of voluntary benefits, because you shouldn't have to think twice about the basics.

  • Good people, good times. Monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more. We take the work seriously and the culture seriously too.

  • You're getting in early, and that matters. We're growing fast, but the biggest opportunities are still ahead. The people joining now will help shape what Perry Weather becomes.
