Monitor Technician / Telemetry Technician

Under RN supervision, the Telemetry Technician provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Parkridge Health System. Works closely with the nursing care team to deliver the nursing process effectively. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. The Telemetry Technician is responsible for assisting with monitoring the patient's cardiac rhythms and communicating with the nursing team, promoting teamwork and maintaining the physical environment.

What you will do in this role:

  • Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
  • Report all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintain Telemetry Supplies.
  • Record patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Perform duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Completion of Dysrhythmia course or within 90 days of hire unless otherwise approved by the Department Director.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting.
  • Completion of cardiac monitor technician class required.

1. Patient Care

2. Clinical and Educational Leadership

Qualifications

Physical Demands

The physician must be able to move throughout the clinic to examine patients and perform clinical duties, including periods of standing, walking, and sitting, as well as occasional bending or reaching to access equipment or supplies. The role requires sufficient manual dexterity to perform physical examinations, operate medical instruments, and use a computer for documentation. The physician may occasionally lift or move items up to 2540 pounds. Adequate vision and hearing are required to assess patients, review medical information, and communicate effectively. Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP / Physician Assistant PA must have and meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of your employment.
  • Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during the duration of their employment.
  • Have a master’s degree or successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant Program.
  • Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.

Job Summary:

  • Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
  • The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
  • Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
  • Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.

Job Title: Millwright

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Production and Shipping Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs. Removal of old machinery and installation of new machinery.

 

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS:

· Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet quality, productivity, and reliability expectations.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery breakdowns.

· Identify opportunities for safety, quality, and reliability improvements.

· Conduct periodic inspections, completing preventative maintenance requirements, identifying and repairing or replacing faulty or suspect parts.

· Adheres to customer service commitments.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Millwright Certification is an asset.

· Journeyman Millwright is preferred

· Minimum two to three years skilled maintenance experience is required.

· Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable.

· Must have own tools.

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.

· First Aid Certificate is an asset.
