JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain Commercial Data, Voice, and Fiber Optic Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, testing, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, cable trays, programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; and coordinating with contractors.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain Commercial Phone Installs and test new and existing VoIP telephone and voice mail components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and department policy. Executes service ticket requests for any telephony service requests. Responsible for port activation, connectivity, testing, and user placements according to available physical infrastructure. Provides small station wiring requests, performs wire cross-connecting, and patch panel data connectivity to the VoIP telephony system.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain Commercial Paging Have experience with paging systems and peripheral equipment, i.e.: amplifiers, speakers, horns, paging adaptors, etc.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain Commercial Security Perform service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm and CCTV cameras, and other security-related devices.

General Description


The Code Compliance Supervisor is responsible for management and leadership of the Code Compliance Division. The Supervisor should have excellent communication skills that are proactively used to investigate code enforcement matters, document those findings, delegate to Code Compliance Officers, follow-through on outstanding details, and convey information to the Community Development Director and Special Magistrate. The Supervisor should also provide timely customer service and work with citizens to maintain their properties, and complete administrative duties.




The Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of Code Compliance Division staff and shall have the ability to make decisions, provide requested information in a timely manner, schedule staff shift rotation, assign staff to zones for staff efficiency, and create an organized system for daily operation of the division. The Supervisor shall be able to study the Code of Ordinances, prior to implementation, and make cogent logical decisions based upon that code interpretation. The Supervisor also performs work independently within established policies and procedures and assists the Community Development Director in annual budgets for the Code Compliance Division.


Examples of Essential Functions


  1. Provides coordination of code enforcement services to ensure compliance. (85%)
    1. Establishes operational policies and procedures for the Code Compliance Division to ensure efficient daily operation of the division.
    2. Establishes and manages consistent procedures for the receipt and investigation of violation complaints. Utilizes the existing software and electronic files to the greatest degree possible. Looks for efficiencies in the existing system. Enters violation information into software including narrative and photos.
    3. Directs and performs inspections throughout the City to investigate and identify code compliance violations based on the Unified Land Development Regulations and other applicable City codes.
    4. With violation verification, informs the individual(s) of the violation and provides recommendations for remedies for correction and to determine the appropriate length of time to resolve code violations.
    5. Determines schedule for re-inspections, enters all appropriate data into the software program to initiate code cases to be re-inspected by a Code Compliance Officer. Assigns a Code Compliance Officer to a case and assists them, upon request.
    6. Prepares and submits management reports that demonstrate the productivity of the Code Compliance Division.
    7. Manages and directs the Code Compliance Division with code and policy determinations, oversight of nuisance abatement strategies and lien collection opportunities.
    8. Establishes and manages procedures for monitoring and correcting violations.
    9. Oversees administrative support functions for the Code Compliance Special Magistrate.
    10. Attends and participates in Code Enforcement Board/Special Magistrate Hearings.
    11. Plans, coordinates, directs, and assigns general Code Compliance Division-related activities to staff.
    12. Maintains effective public relations with City staff, developers, business community, state agencies, other municipalities, community groups, and the general public.
    13. Responds timely to customer questions and concerns.
  2. Supervisory Responsibilities (10%)
    1. Ensures staff completes code violation and compliance processes through to completion in compliance with policies and procedures.
    2. Supports and exemplifies the City's identified core values, supports the mission, and assists the City to attain the City's vision and goals through the efficient operation of assigned employees and/or departments.
    3. Collaborates with Human Resources in accomplishing employee selection, training, and performance management functions.
    4. Collaborates with Human Resources to address complaints and assist in resolving employee relation issues and holds employees accountable for their performance/behaviors as necessary.
    5. Plans, assigns, and directs work of directly supervised staff.
    6. Rewards employees appropriately and evaluates staff performance in a timely manner using employee evaluation forms instituted by the City of Casselberry.
    7. Oversees and ensures that the required department/division orientation and training and applicable on-the-job training of the Division staff is completed.
  3. Additional Duties and Responsibilities (5%)
    1. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the core values of the City, and consistent with City and Department policies.
    2. Follows safe working practices and has a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
    3. Coordinates service delivery with internal divisions such as Planning, Building, and Business Tax Receipts.
    4. Develops, recommends, and implements the fiscal budget process of assigned division for upcoming year(s).
    5. Provides information for City Manager on statues reports for the Code Compliance Division.
    6. Attends or designates personnel to attend conferences and meetings to keep abreast of current trends in the field, represents the Code Compliance division in a variety of local, county, state and other meetings.
    7. Completes the identified required or assigned training timely and applies acquired knowledge and/or skills. Attains or maintains certifications related to professional code enforcement organizations that helps the City Code Compliance Division.
    8. Adheres to laws, regulations, and policies of the City and of the Community Development Department. Follows instructions provided by the Community Development Director or their designee.
    9. Participates in meetings, staff meetings, public hearings, and other related activities.
    10. Maintains, preserves, retains, and disposes of public records pursuant to FS Chapter 119.
  4. Emergency Management Role
    1. Participates as a member of the City staff as required to act in the event of an emergency.
    2. Acts in the assigned role to support the City in disaster preparation and/or disaster recovery efforts as described in the City of Casselberry Emergency Management Plan, supervisor, or designee. As a member of the Community Development Department will be assigned to the Damage Assessment Team to generate post-disaster assessments and surveys of the disaster area and provide information back to the City and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Typical Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

A. Education and Training: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.

B. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in code compliance or related field is required, including experience in field inspections. Additionally, at least three (3) years of experience as a Code Compliance Officer III or in a supervisory role within code compliance or a related field is required. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.

C. Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be made to determine acceptance of past driving record. Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) certifications are preferred which includes the following:


  • Officer Safety and Field Applications
  • Fundamentals of Code Enforcement
  • Legal Issues in Code Enforcement
  • Within twelve (12) months of employment one shall be required to attain the supervisor level FACE certification, Administrative Aspects of Code Enforcement.

About the Role
We’re hiring Petroleum Service Technicians—from hands-on learners just starting out to seasoned techs ready to lead. Technicians test, maintain, repair refueling equipment and ensure regulatory compliance for underground and aboveground storage tank systems (USTs/ASTs). You’ll work on fuel system equipment at gas stations, marinas, airports, and more, helping clients meet critical environmental regulations. Training provided.

Training & Travel Requirements – all company travel expenses covered
  • Initial Training: ~4 weeks in Richardson, TX (25–50% overnight travel)
  • After Training: 50–75% overnight travel, sometimes 2–3 weeks at a time during peak seasons (weekends may be required)

What You’ll Do
  • Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • Perform compliance tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B Inspections, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair UST/AST equipment
