Director of Supply Chain
Riverbend Energetics
mo
Compensation: 180.000 - 270.000

Riverbend Energetics is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations supporting the production of energetic components, electric/stab detonators, and CAD/PAD systems for the U.S. defense industry. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials, components, and services that enable Riverbend to meet mission-critical delivery commitments to our defense customers. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in defense supply chain management, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of building resilient, high-performing supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's supply chain strategy, encompassing procurement, supplier management, inventory control, logistics, and materials planning to support production schedules for energetic and pyrotechnic product lines
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team, establishing clear performance expectations, development plans, and accountability structures
  • Identify, qualify, and manage a robust supplier base capable of meeting stringent quality, delivery, and regulatory requirements associated with energetic materials and defense-grade components
  • Negotiate and administer long-term supplier agreements, blanket purchase orders, and strategic contracts to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and favorable terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and customer-driven delivery requirements
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), export control requirements (ITAR/EAR), and Riverbend's internal procurement and ethics policies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain using data-driven methodologies to reduce lead times, lower total cost of ownership, and mitigate single-source and sole-source supply risks
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and provide regular reporting to executive leadership, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or director-level role
  • Demonstrated experience managing supply chains within the U.S. defense industry, including familiarity with government contracting requirements (FAR/DFARS)
  • Working knowledge of ITAR and export control regulations as they apply to defense procurement and supplier management
  • Proven ability to develop supplier relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and manage supplier performance in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • APICS CSCP, CPIM, or ISM CPSM certification
  • Experience in the energetics, pyrotechnics, ammunition, or explosives industry, with an understanding of the unique supply chain challenges associated with hazardous materials
  • Familiarity with ATF, DoT, and DoD regulatory frameworks governing the procurement, storage, and transportation of energetic materials
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience supporting DCSA facility security requirements or working within a classified manufacturing environment

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The opportunity to play a strategic leadership role at a growing defense contractor delivering mission-critical components to the U.S. military and allied customers
  • A collaborative, safety-first culture where your expertise directly contributes to national defense readiness
  • Stability and growth potential within a specialized industry segment with long-term government program commitments

Key Requirements

  • Defense Supply Chain Regulatory Fluency: Riverbend operates under a dense web of federal compliance requirements - FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, ATF, DoT, and DoD frameworks - that directly govern how procurement is conducted, how suppliers are qualified, and how materials move. A misstep in any of these areas can halt production, jeopardize contracts, or trigger federal penalties. A director who treats compliance as muscle memory rather than a lookup exercise protects the company and keeps programs on schedule.
  • Materials Planning and Inventory Management Expertise: Energetic component production runs on tight, sequenced schedules where a missing material can idle a production line or breach a defense delivery commitment. At 150 people, there is no organizational slack to absorb a planning failure. The director must be a genuine expert in MRP/ERP-driven materials planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling - not someone who has delegated this to a planner while focusing solely on procurement. This is the operational engine of the supply chain function.
  • Supply Chain Team Leadership and Staff Development: The job description explicitly calls for building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing supply chain team with clear performance expectations and development plans. At a 150-person company the director is a player-coach who also carries direct reports ranging from seasoned professionals to early-career staff who need active coaching. The ability to set standards, develop talent, manage underperformance, and retain experienced contributors is as operationally important as any technical supply chain skill - team failure is program failure.
  • Supply Chain Resilience and Risk Mitigation in Regulated Manufacturing: Energetic components and CAD/PAD systems rely on specialty materials and sole-source or limited-source suppliers - making supply disruption a mission-critical risk. At a 150-person company, there is no buffer of redundant procurement staff to absorb a supply crisis. The director must proactively identify and reduce single-source dependencies, build strategic inventory buffers, and maintain continuity plans before they are needed rather than in reaction to a failure.
  • Hazardous or Energetic Materials Supply Chain Experience: Procuring, storing, and transporting energetic materials, pyrotechnics, or explosives carries regulatory and safety requirements - ATF licensing, DoT hazmat shipping classifications, explosive site plans - that are invisible in conventional manufacturing supply chains. A director who has never navigated these requirements will face a steep and risky learning curve. Someone from an adjacent hazardous-materials industry can transfer this mindset even if they lack direct energetics experience.

Riverbend Energetics is a defense and industrial manufacturer based in Alton, IL. We develop and produce energetic materials and specialty munitions for U.S. defense and allied customers. Our mission-critical work demands precision, safety, and a commitment to excellence.

Partner with program managers, product managers, and engineering managers to understand development priorities and drive alignment across multiple partners with impactful priorities.

Coordinate testing and release dependencies for assigned engineering teams, and across teams as products converge for release.

Solid understanding of cryptographic fundamentals (asymmetric/symmetric ciphers, hashing, digital signatures) sufficient to synthesize technical tradeoffs with engineering and InfoSec stakeholders.

Prior exposure to PQC, cryptographic migrations, or security/compliance-driven technical programs is a strong plus.

Ability to use data and analytics to look at trends and lead health of projects and systems.

Ability to coordinate multi-functionally, build consensus, and execute across teams. Able to influence without authority, negotiate, and encourage others in a matrixed environment.

Senior Technical Program Manager, Platform Services
DoorDash
san francisco, ca
Compensation: 131.000 - 285.000

About The Team

At DoorDash we’re building the industry’s most scalable and reliable delivery network to support our three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. TPMs on our Engineering teams provide fundamental support to the underlying technology services as well as the engineers building these services. It’s no simple task, but it wouldn’t be interesting if it was!

About The Role

Platform Services is one of DoorDash’s organizations responsible for extending DoorDash beyond the consumer marketplace. The team owns three distinct business lines: Drive, a white-label delivery API that enables external businesses to access DoorDash’s delivery network; Parcels, which provides last-mile logistics for retailers and merchants; and Enterprise (DoorDash for Business), a b2b product suite powering corporate meal programs and large ordering for organizations of all sizes.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help scale Platform Services. You will lead important engineering wide initiatives across Enterprise, Drive, and Parcels, working with Engineering, Product, Operations, and business leaders to deliver dependable, extensible logistics capabilities for external businesses. Programs will span backend services, partner and merchant integrations, operational tooling, and platform interfaces. They require strong technical judgment, cross organizational coordination, stakeholder management, and ownership of results.

You will report into the centralized Technical Program Management team in Engineering.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…

  • Drive Platform Services’ Most Strategic Programs - You will partner closely with Engineering and Product leadership, Strategy & Operations, and cross-functional teams to turn Platform Services’ strategy into executable technical programs. The portfolio spans Drive (DoorDash’s white-label delivery offering), Parcels (last-mile logistics for merchants and retailers), and Enterprise (DoorDash for Business) a b2b corporate meal and large order fulfillment platform serving organizations of all sizes.
  • Lead Complex Cross-Organization Execution - Platform Services depends on capabilities across logistics, merchant and partner integrations, dispatch and fulfillment, operational tooling, platform infrastructure, and the broader DoorDash ecosystem. You will establish clear ownership and milestones, surface critical dependencies and tradeoffs, and drive alignment across teams when the path forward is not obvious.
  • Bring Technical Depth and Systems Thinking - You will develop a deep understanding of the architecture, integrations, data flows, and operational systems behind Drive,Parcels, and Enterprise. You will engage in technical designs, identify scaling and reliability risks, understand how decisions in one part of the system affect end-to-end delivery and partner experiences, and help teams make pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Turn Ambiguity into Strategy and Action - Many of our hardest problems do not begin with a clean scope or a single owner. You will truth-seek across technical and business inputs, frame the problem, clarify the definition of success, develop a point of view on risks and options, and create an execution path that teams and leaders can align behind.
  • Connect Engineering Execution to Business Outcomes - You will understand the merchant, partner, customer, and economic outcomes behind the work and use that context to guide prioritization and execution. Whether the goal is expanding access to DoorDash logistics, improving delivery quality and reliability, enabling new partner use cases, or improving cost to serve, you will help teams stay focused on the technical work that matters most to the business.

We're Excited About You Because…

  • You’re experienced in working with engineering teams on large-scale distributed systems and/or b2b products. You can speak to system architecture, scalability and reliability decisions, and design trade offs.
  • You’re a strong leader with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across organizations, bridge gaps between teams, and successfully influence without authority.
  • You have strong ownership, urgency, and drive. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details to understand and drive your programs.
  • You have excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with confidence, clarity, and focus. You can convey concepts and considerations to non-experts and experts alike.
  • You’ve engaged with Engineering teams on product & platform development with a thorough understanding of software development processes and project planning.
  • You are pragmatic and detailed in your approach and focus on progress, not perfection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline.
  • 5+ years recent experience as a Technical Program Manager at a technology company.
  • Experience in large-scale distributed systems and system architecture.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on product development, with a thorough understanding of software development processes, system architecture, and scalability trade-offs.
  • Project planning and execution skills that include reviewing technical design documents, estimating, and scheduling.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

About Alchemy

Alchemy is the Web3 infrastructure and developer platform that powers millions of users and the world’s most innovative blockchain applications. From enabling $1+ trillion in financial transactions worldwide to scaling L2s and enabling DeFi, Alchemy provides the infrastructure and tools developers need to build reliable, scalable, and accessible experiences.

Trusted by companies like JPMorgan, Stripe, Visa, Franklin Templeton, Nike, and backed by a16z, Coatue, Silver Lake, Lightspeed, and Stanford University, Alchemy is building the foundational layer for a decentralized and AI-enabled Web3 ecosystem. For more information, visit alchemy.com.

About the role

You’ll own a 0→1 product surface at Alchemy, from the first customer conversation to GA to a self-serve growth engine. This is a builder's seat. You’ll define the wedge, write the spec, sit with design and engineering daily, get on calls with developers and CTOs, and carry the number that proves it worked. You’ll have real latitude to shape the roadmap, so this role suits someone who’s comfortable defining the problem as well as solving it

What you'll do

  • Go 0→1. Take an ambiguous opportunity such as agentic payments, stablecoin rails, data APIs, or a new chain ecosystem, and turn it into a shipped product with real usage and real revenue.

  • Sell, build, and deliver. Run discovery calls, join sales calls, write the pitch, then go build what you promised and make sure it lands in production.

  • Be the voice of the developer. Live in support channels, GitHub issues, customer Slack channels, and your own terminal. Ship product that engineers choose without a sales call.

  • Set the bar on quality and speed. Define what great looks like for latency, reliability, and DX, then hold the line while moving fast.

  • Make the call. Decide with incomplete information, write down why, and revisit when the data changes.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in product, with meaningful time on a developer platform, API, or infrastructure product . You’ve shipped things engineers integrate, not just use.

  • Demonstrated product-led growth experience: self-serve funnels, activation and conversion metrics, pricing and packaging, usage-based monetization.

  • Founder mentality. You’ve started something, whether a company, a business line, or a product nobody asked you to build.

  • Bias to action. You move quickly to get to a real answer: fast customer validation, clear evidence of demand, then a committed build with a path to revenue. Speed comes from cutting cycle time, not from cutting quality.

  • Customer obsessed and commercially fluent. Comfortable in a sales call, a design review, and a production incident on the same day.

  • Thrives in ambiguity. You create the structure rather than wait for it.

  • Technical enough to read an API spec, write a curl request, prototype with an AI coding agent, and hold your own with senior engineers.

  • Crypto and web3 experience is a plus. Deep curiosity is required.
