Director of Sales Enablement, Training & Go-to-Market
DoorDash
Denver, CO

Director of Sales Enablement, Training & Go-to-Market

DoorDash is seeking a Director of Sales Enablement, Training & Go-to-Market to lead the design, delivery, and execution of programs that accelerate the productivity, effectiveness, and growth of our global Sales organization. You will scale enablement across our multi-faceted business model, from SaaS solutions to Ads and Marketplace partnerships, ensuring sellers are equipped with the skills, product expertise, content, and insights to win in every conversation.

You will own the full enablement lifecycle: onboarding, ongoing skill development, sales methodology, manager coaching, content strategy, certification, tooling, and the operating cadence that ties them together. You will partner deeply with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations leaders to translate strategy into execution, making sure new capabilities are adopted quickly and consistently across all sales segments.

As part of this mandate, you will also lead the deployment of AI tools, including Claude, across the Sales organization. AI is becoming core to modern selling, and you will own the strategy for embedding it into seller workflows while serving as the Sales voice in cross-functional GTM forums shaping how AI is rolled out to adjacent customer-facing teams (Customer Success, Partnerships, Marketing, and Support).

By pairing operational rigor with sales coaching excellence and applied AI fluency, you will drive faster ramp times, higher productivity, stronger product adoption, and sustainable revenue growth.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:

Core Sales Enablement

  • Own the Onboarding Experience: Design and continuously improve new-hire onboarding for SDRs, AEs, and AMs across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments, with clear milestones, certifications, and ramp targets that demonstrably shorten time-to-productivity.
  • Build Continuous Learning Programs: Run a year-round curriculum of skills training, product education, segment-specific bootcamps, and sales kickoff content that keeps reps sharp and aligned with strategy.
  • Embed a Sales Methodology: Select, customize, and operationalize a sales methodology (Challenger, MEDDIC, SPIN, or similar) across the org, with reinforcement built into pipeline reviews, deal inspection, and manager coaching.
  • Tailor Enablement Across Business Models: Deliver differentiated playbooks and training for SaaS, Ads, and Marketplace solutions, equipping reps to position value, handle objections, run effective discovery, and cross-sell seamlessly.
  • Own Sales Content Strategy: Build and govern a content system (pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, battle cards, ROI tools, email templates) that is easy to find, easy to use, and continuously refreshed based on rep and customer feedback.
  • Lead Product Adoption & Expertise: Partner with Product, Ads, and Marketing to launch new features and offerings into the field with clear positioning, training, certification, and measurement of seller readiness.
  • Coach & Develop Sales Talent: Build a coaching culture by enabling frontline managers with frameworks, call review rituals, deal coaching playbooks, and tools to consistently raise the performance bar.
  • Run the Enablement Operating Rhythm: Establish the cadence (intake, prioritization, launch calendar, feedback loops, post-mortems) that makes enablement predictable and trusted by Sales leadership.

AI & Sales Productivity

  • Lead AI Deployment for Sales: Own the strategy, rollout, and adoption of Claude and other AI tools across the Sales org. Build prompt libraries, AI-assisted workflows, and certification paths that turn every seller and manager into an AI power user.
  • Elevate Sales Productivity with AI-First Workflows: Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows for prospecting, account research, call prep, proposal generation, deal coaching, and post-call follow-up. Replace manual work with intelligent automation wherever it creates leverage.
  • Drive Measurable AI ROI: Define and track the business impact of AI in Sales, including hours saved, pipeline generated, win-rate lift, content velocity, and quality improvements, and continuously expand the use cases that move the needle.
  • Influence GTM-Wide AI Direction: Represent Sales in cross-functional GTM AI working groups, share what's working with CS, Marketing, Partnerships, and Support leaders, and help shape enterprise-wide standards for tooling and prompts, without owning execution outside Sales.
  • Support Responsible AI Use: Partner with Legal, Security, and IT to apply DoorDash's AI usage guidelines, data handling policies, and quality controls within Sales, and feed Sales learnings back into enterprise policy.

Leadership & Impact

  • Own Business Impact Metrics: Define and track KPIs including ramp time, quota attainment, seller productivity, content utilization, certification rates, and incremental revenue growth attributable to enablement programs.
  • Strengthen XFN Partnerships: Act as the connective tissue between Sales and cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Ops, Marketing, IT, Legal), ensuring alignment on GTM priorities, seamless rollouts of new initiatives, and continuous feedback loops to Product and Ops.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a high-performing global team of enablement managers, trainers, instructional designers, coaches, and GTM program leads.

We're Excited About You Because:

  • 12+ years of experience in Sales Enablement, Training, or Sales Leadership in high-growth SaaS, Ads, or Marketplace companies, with at least 5+ years leading enablement teams.
  • Proven track record of designing onboarding and continuous-learning programs that measurably reduced ramp time and increased quota attainment at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of modern sales methodologies (Challenger, MEDDIC, SPIN) and demonstrated experience embedding them across a multi-segment sales org.
  • Strong content strategy chops, including governance, taxonomy, sales content tooling, and measurement of content effectiveness.
  • Skilled at designing and leading manager coaching frameworks, call review programs, and deal inspection rituals that improve win rates and deal velocity.
  • Experience tailoring enablement to multiple business models (e.g., SaaS subscriptions, Ads, Marketplace) and multiple segments (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise).
  • Applied AI deployment experience: You have personally rolled out LLM-based tools (Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, or similar) to a sales org and can speak credibly to prompt design, workflow integration, change management, adoption metrics, and measurable outcomes.
  • AI fluency in practice, not just theory: Comfortable with prompt engineering, evaluating model outputs, designing human-in-the-loop workflows, and integrating AI with CRM, enablement, and conversation intelligence platforms.
  • Experienced in building cross-functional partnerships with Product, Marketing, and Operations, and comfortable representing Sales in broader GTM forums.
  • Strategic GTM thinker able to translate complex product roadmaps into clear, actionable sales motions.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a global mindset.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presence, with a data-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with enablement platforms (Highspot, Seismic, Mindtickle), conversation intelligence (Gong, Chorus), LMS tools, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and enterprise AI platforms (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google).

Redefine the future of live entertainment tech

Welcome to vivenu, the global leader in event ticketing tech and one of the world’s fastest-growing live entertainment tech firms. We are transforming event ticketing for global leaders like the Grammys, the Golden Globes, Stanford University and the Hockenheimring turning what was once a simple transaction into a strategic business advantage. Backed by over $65 million in funding, our platform empowers event organizers to own their brand experience, unlock deep data insights, and seamlessly integrate ticketing into their digital infrastructure.

With six offices worldwide and growing, we deliver a customizable, intuitive solution and industry-leading support that simplify even the most complex ticketing challenges – helping organizers deliver exceptional experiences and drive real growth.

Join us and build the future of live entertainment.

As our first dedicated Solution Architect on the US team, the mission is to bridge the gap between our powerful API-first platform and complex enterprise ticketing needs. This role is confidently mapping the requirements to our API architecture and starting to establish templates, frameworks, and best practices that will allow vivenu to scale.
As a Solution Architect at vivenu your responsibilities will include:
  • Architecting tailored solutions for custom integration gaps, such as API connections, Single Sign-On (SSO) setups, and ERP, leveraging vivenu’s powerful capabilities.
  • Partnering closely with enterprise clients to seamlessly transition their existing digital storefronts into a cutting-edge, headless commerce architecture powered entirely by vivenu's robust APIs.
  • Running deep-dive technical workshops with a diverse mix of client stakeholders—ranging from customer CTOs and IT departments to third-party web agencies and Ticketing Managers—to extract requirements and translate complex needs into scalable blueprints.
  • Aligning customer expectations perfectly with vivenu's platform capabilities, and acting as the internal escalation point for complex technical questions in post-sales to ensure all scoped solutions are highly viable, scalable, and independently executed.
  • Leveraging rapid scripting, AI tools, and proof-of-concepts to quickly verify data flows, turning these bespoke solutions into high-impact white papers and global integration templates that establish vivenu as a technical leader.
  • Adapting quickly and jumping into any industry vertical or technical challenge whenever and wherever needed, driving innovative platform solutions from conception to execution.
What you will need to succeed in this role:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally a background in software engineering or a highly technical role, with a deliberate career pivot toward client-facing strategy, business impact, and solution design.
  • A university degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative, technical field.
  • A broad, comprehensive understanding of web applications, REST APIs, webhooks, data mapping, and how modern software ecosystems interact
  • The ability to read API documentation, write functional scripts to test endpoints, and deeply analyze and debug AI-generated code.
  • Exceptional communication skills to navigate high-stakes client environments, manage multiple priorities, and confidently manage client expectations.

Our Story:

Short Story is an award winning, technology powered retailer dedicated to petite women 5'4" and under. Our mission is to create a seamless shopping experience for millions of petite women so they can dress with effortless confidence.

As a fast-growing startup, we're revolutionizing retail with a data driven learning system that leverages customer feedback to create tailored products. We've been recognized by top publications like Forbes, Fortune and are backed by leading investors who share our vision of building the world's next great consumer brand.

Our Values:

We're building a company with intention and purpose. Our culture thrives on data insights, exceptional commitment to fit, and the urgency to move quickly on what matters.

  • ✨ Transform Lives. We're customer-first. Everything we create exists to give her confidence.

  • ⚡️ Demand Excellence. We deliver only our best work, in Fit and Finish. We obsess about details others overlook.

  • Embrace Challenges. We see obstacles as opportunities to invent better solutions.

  • Think Differently. We get a thrill from finding better solutions others haven't seen.

The Role

Startups win by having great people. We're looking for a Founding Recruiter who'll lead all things recruiting. Not someone who just fills positions, but someone who thinks about what kind of team we need, and how to build it.

  • You'll work directly with the CEO to find the best people to join us across Operations, Styling, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Client Experience, and more.

  • The best talent people don't just follow a process—they invent it. You'll decide what "good" means, how we find those people, and how we close them.

  • This is the kind of role where you'll look back years from now and see your fingerprints on the entire company. This is an opportunity to be the architect behind a high-performing, mission-driven team at one of the fastest-growing ecommerce startups.

This role is full-time and onsite in our SF office.

Qualifications

  • You can operate as team of one—rolling up your sleeves to source, coordinate, and close. You'll work closely with the CEO and HR Manager, but you'll be the one figuring out what needs to be done and doing it.

  • You think like a founder: high judgment, bias for action, and ownership mentality.

  • You write outbound messages that actually get responses and know how to search for the right people in non-obvious places.

  • You're smart with tools - Ashby, Linkedin, and using AI to automate the repetitive parts.

  • 7+ years of experience in recruiting, with at least 3 years in a startup or high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Full Cycle Recruiting: Own the full-cycle recruiting across roles

  • Talent Strategy: Work with founders and hiring managers to set hiring goals, scope new roles and develop talent roadmaps

  • Sourcing: Build and run outbound sourcing strategies to reach top talent

  • Manage Talent Infrastructure: Including Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and hiring data

  • Growth Strategy: Inform founders on team composition and organizational scaling

  • Talent Operations: Own candidate coordination, recruiting tools, and continuously improve our hiring processes and structures

  • Brand Building: Build out Short Story's brand and values with authenticity, empathy, and clarity in every candidate interaction

What We Value

  • An obsession with detail - every word, every punctuation mark

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Anything is possible mindset

  • An extremely strong work ethic with commitment to quality and detail

  • Scrappiness

Why You Should Join Us

  • Strong backing from investors YCombinator, Tribe Capital

  • Best-in-class team that is deeply mission-aligned

  • Have a huge impact on a small team with lots of runway for growth

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation

  • Excellent benefits and versatile health, dental, and vision coverage plans

  • Paid parental leave

  • Unlimited PTO

Short Story is committed to providing equal employment opportunity and a work environment free of discrimination and harassment for all employees and applicants. We work diligently to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
