The Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective, safe, secure, and cost-efficient management of Atlas Energy Solutions facilities across all company locations. Based in Austin and reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this role serves as the enterprise owner for facilities operations, standards, maintenance, workplace services, vendor performance, and facility-related projects.

This position will work cross-functionally with Safety, IT, Procurement, and business leaders to ensure Atlas facilities are appropriately maintained, secure, operationally effective, and capable of supporting the company's continued growth. The Facilities Manager will establish consistent standards and processes across the organization while recognizing the unique requirements of Atlas's corporate, field, and operational locations.

The role will also provide centralized oversight of facility vendors and service providers, partnering with Procurement on sourcing, contracting, pricing, and vendor strategy while maintaining accountability for day-to-day vendor performance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Facilities Management

  • Manage and coordinate facilities operations across all Atlas locations, including corporate offices, field offices, operational facilities, and other company-controlled properties.

  • Conduct routine site visits and facility assessments to identify risks, maintenance requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop mechanisms to track facility requests, projects, recurring issues, and corrective actions through completion.

Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness

  • Partner closely with the Safety team to ensure facilities support Atlas safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Safety to conduct periodic facility and physical security audits and risk assessments across Atlas locations.
  • Maintain centralized tracking of findings from security and facility audits and ensure corrective actions are assigned, documented, escalated as necessary, and completed.
  • Coordinate physical security infrastructure and services, including access controls, cameras, alarms, visitor management, locks, and security vendors, in partnership with Safety and IT.
  • Support emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, business continuity, and other facility-related response protocols.
  • Identify and escalate facility, safety, and physical security risks to the appropriate functional leaders.
  • Help ensure vendors and contractors working at Atlas facilities comply with applicable site safety and security requirements.

IT & Workplace Infrastructure

  • Coordinate facility access and scheduling for IT vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Partner with IT and Safety on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of technology-enabled physical security systems.
  • Ensure facilities planning considers future technology, connectivity, and infrastructure needs rather than addressing requirements after construction or facility decisions have been made.

Vendor & Procurement Management

  • Partner with Procurement to source, evaluate, select, contract, and manage facility-related vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure facility vendors follow Atlas procurement, contracting, insurance, safety, security, and onboarding requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and monitor service levels, responsiveness, quality, cost, and overall performance.
  • Partner with Procurement to identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, negotiate enterprise agreements, improve service levels, and reduce unnecessary facility costs.
  • Establish appropriate service-level expectations and performance measures for key facilities vendors.
  • Validate services performed and support appropriate invoice review and approval processes.
  • Maintain visibility into key vendor contracts, renewal dates, service requirements, and performance.
  • Address vendor performance issues and partner with Procurement on corrective action, renegotiation, or replacement when appropriate.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Develop and manage facilities operating budgets and forecasts in partnership with Finance and business leaders.
  • Monitor facility-related spending and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising safety, security, or operational effectiveness.
  • Support capital planning for major repairs, replacements, renovations, and other facility investments.
  • Develop reporting and metrics that provide leadership visibility into facility performance, costs, projects, risks, and service levels.
  • Maintain accurate facility records, including leases, floor plans, vendor information, maintenance schedules, inspection records, warranties, and other relevant documentation.
  • Identify recurring facility issues and develop sustainable solutions rather than relying on repeated short-term fixes.

Workplace Experience

  • Ensure Atlas workplaces are professional, functional, safe, secure, and appropriately maintained for employees, visitors, customers, and business partners.
  • Coordinate workplace needs including furniture, signage, common areas, conference rooms, supplies, parking, and other facility-related services.
  • Partner with local leaders to understand evolving workplace and operational needs while maintaining appropriate enterprise standards.

Facilities Projects & Growth

  • Coordinate facility-related projects from initial business need through planning, execution, and completion.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors on facility buildouts, renovations, expansions, and relocations.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication for significant facility initiatives.
  • Ensure Safety, IT, Procurement, and other key stakeholders are engaged early in facility planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to ensure facility projects meet operational requirements and identified issues are resolved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
