  • Simplify organizational processes and decision-making where unnecessary complexity or layers slow execution.
  • Establish clear measures of success for Finance transformation, including productivity, decision speed, forecast accuracy, insight quality and business impact.

Build an AI-Native Finance Function

  • Identify and scale high-value applications of AI and automation across Finance.
  • Redesign workflows rather than simply automating existing manual processes.
  • Develop an approach for incorporating AI agents, automation and advanced analytics into Finance operations and decision support.
  • Partner with technology and data teams to strengthen Finance's data, systems, tools and AI infrastructure.
  • Establish appropriate governance, controls and human accountability for AI-enabled Finance processes.
  • Build organizational capability and confidence to continuously adopt new technologies as they emerge.

Transform How Finance Delivers Business Insights

  • Advance the use of enterprise modeling, scenario analysis, simulation and advanced analytics to improve business decisions.
  • Develop scalable tools and analytical products that enable business leaders to better understand performance drivers, tradeoffs and potential outcomes.
  • Work with FP&A and business Finance leaders to improve the speed and quality of enterprise decision support.
  • Identify opportunities to make financial insights increasingly self-service and technology enabled.

  • Evaluate where Finance should develop dedicated expertise in areas such as AI agents, workflow engineering, data engineering, modeling and finance technology.
  • Promote a tools-first approach in which Finance increasingly delivers services through scalable technology rather than manual processes.
  • Help establish ownership models that ensure Finance tools and capabilities continue to evolve after initial implementation.

Lead Enterprise Strategy & Transformation

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CFO on enterprise performance, transformation and major business decisions.
  • Translate company strategy into Finance capabilities, priorities and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead or support high-priority cross-functional initiatives requiring strong financial, strategic and transformation leadership.
  • Establish disciplined governance, prioritization and accountability for major Finance transformation initiatives.
  • Help Finance play a broader role in improving the quality and speed of enterprise decision-making.

Shape the Finance Workforce of the Future

  • Assess how Finance roles and capabilities will need to evolve as automation and AI change the nature of Finance work.
  • Increase the emphasis on finance professionals with deep financial, analytical, technology and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Help create a flatter, more agile organization that can rapidly assemble expertise around complex business problems.
  • Develop new career experiences and capabilities that prepare Finance talent for increasingly technology-enabled work.
  • Partner with Finance leadership and HR to build the talent strategy required to support the future Finance organization.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within large, complex global organizations.

  • A transformation leader, willing to challenge longstanding assumptions about how Finance should operate.
  • A strong strategic thinker, able to connect financial insights with business strategy and enterprise decision-making.

  • Data-driven and intellectually curious, using evidence to challenge assumptions and continuously exploring better ways of working.

Job Description

Job Description
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) MyVet Chesapeake | Chesapeake, Virginia

Full-Time | Private Veterinary Practice

MyVet Chesapeake is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our small, privately owned veterinary practice in Chesapeake, Virginia.

We are a close-knit practice where the veterinary team knows one another, works together, and genuinely depends on each other. With a small team, your role here matters. We are looking for an LVT with at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience who wants to use their skills, be involved in patient care, and work alongside a veterinarian and support team that values collaboration and compassionate medicine.

If you are looking for a veterinary technician position where you can become an important part of the practice rather than just another name on the schedule, we would like to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician at MyVet Chesapeake, you'll work directly with our veterinarian and support team to provide high-quality medical and surgical care to our patients.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with patient examinations and treatments

  • Performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters

  • Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical procedures

  • Assisting with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

  • Preparing patients and the surgical suite for procedures

  • Performing and assisting with veterinary diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures

  • Taking and processing radiographs

  • Supporting dental procedures and dental patient care

  • Providing nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients

  • Maintaining accurate patient medical records

  • Educating pet owners about medications, preventive care, nutrition, and at-home treatment

  • Safely and compassionately handling and restraining patients

  • Maintaining treatment areas, equipment, and medical supplies

  • Working closely with the entire veterinary team to keep the hospital running efficiently

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with compassion, dependability, and a team-first attitude.

Qualified candidates must:

  • Be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia licensure

  • Have at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience

  • Have strong veterinary nursing and patient-care skills

  • Be comfortable working directly with veterinarians during medical and surgical procedures

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers

  • Be comfortable handling dogs and cats of different sizes, temperaments, and medical needs

  • Be organized and able to maintain accurate medical records

  • Value teamwork and be willing to help wherever needed in a small veterinary practice

Experience with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, emergency care, or critical-care nursing is a plus.

Why MyVet Chesapeake?

There are plenty of veterinary technician jobs available. What makes MyVet Chesapeake different is the opportunity to work in a small, independent veterinary practice where your contribution is noticed and valued.

You won't be one technician among dozens. You'll work closely with the veterinarian, support staff, clients, and patients you see every day.

We want someone who is looking for a practice they can become part of, not simply another place to clock in.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation based on your veterinary experience, technical skills, qualifications, and licensure.

Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply, and compensation can be discussed based on the experience and skills you bring to the practice.

Benefits

Benefits include:

  • 401(k)

  • Paid time off

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Professional development assistance

  • Employee discount

Become Part of MyVet Chesapeake

If you're an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician in Chesapeake, Virginia, or an LVT considering a move to the area, we'd like to hear from you.

Come join a small veterinary practice where you can use your skills, build relationships with clients and patients, and become a meaningful part of the team.
