Executive Recruiter (1099, 100% Commission)
New Day Executive Search
Los Angeles, CA

Goodwin Recruiting Partnership Opportunity

This is a business you own, not a job we're filling. Goodwin Recruiting partners are independent business owners who build and run their own recruiting practices on Goodwin's platform. Goodwin funds the tools, the business launch, and the infrastructure. You run the desk, and no one caps what it earns.

If you recruit at an agency today, here's the honest comparison. You already do this work. At your firm, the percentage was set before you arrived; it tops out no matter how much you bill, and someone else sets your desk, your territory, and your targets. Going solo would fix that, but it means funding your own tools, legal, and accounting before you bill a dollar. This is the middle ground: Goodwin funds the tools and runs the back office, the billing, the collections, the admin, so those setup costs never land on you. Own the desk, choose your lane, drop the ceiling.

The model, stated plainly. This is a 100% commission business. You keep roughly half of everything you bill, with no tiers to climb and no cap to hit. Your income potential is unlimited. You'd be self-employed - what the IRS calls a 1099 independent contractor: no W-2, no withholding. No salary. No benefits. You own the outcome, and the upside.

What Goodwin funds:

  • A full LinkedIn Recruiter RPS+ seat with 140 InMails a month
  • Training, mentorship, and a partner community of 300+
  • The recruiting tech platform and marketing support
  • Billing, collections, and the administrative back office

Fair question: is this legit? Yes. No buy-in. No inventory. No downline. You earn when clients hire the people you place. Goodwin Recruiting was founded by Eric Goodwin in 1999 and has been built on relationships and integrity for 27 years, with more than 300 active partners across a dozen industries.

"I'd tell them it's been one of the best career decisions I've ever made, but they need to understand what they're signing up for. This isn't a 9-to-5 where someone hands you a paycheck every two weeks. You're building your own business, and what you get out of it is directly tied to what you're willing to put into it." David Fettes, Partner, Hospitality Operations, 4 years

Who does well here:

  • Experienced agency, search firm, and independent recruiters
  • Self-directed, disciplined producers ready to treat this like the business it is
  • Specialized in a vertical outside hospitality? The lanes are open
  • If you're looking for a salaried recruiting role with benefits, this isn't it, and that's by design.

What happens next. Apply, and you'll receive an email invitation to register for a live 30-minute info session, held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 3 PM ET.

At Goodwin Recruiting we are committed to our core values. We take our value, Dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion, very seriously and will never discriminate against a candidate or client based on any protected classes. Our clients seek qualified candidates, and that's what we deliver. A person's age, gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status, or arrest or conviction record has no bearing on whether he, she, or they are able to do the job. We evaluate the knowledge, skills, and abilities that meet the requirements of the position and aim to open doors and change lives. We value all people, understanding that uniqueness and diversity foster a stronger team that is innovative and brings varying perspectives to the table. We put our money where our mouth is and are proud of our efforts to identify a broad slate of candidates, with many hiring success stories to share.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Complete work orders promptly and correctly, typically within 24 hours
  • Diagnose and repair issues across electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC systems
  • Execute preventative maintenance on building systems including plumbing, heating, cooling, and mechanical equipment
  • Maintain curb appeal daily — trash removal, sprinkler inspections, and weed control
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls on a rotating basis (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Assist with snow removal operations as needed
  • Support the moving of supplies, parts, appliances, tools, and HVAC equipment
  • Assist with pool maintenance and associated equipment, if applicable

  • Adhere to all Landings Real Estate Group policies and applicable regulations including Fair Housing, ADA, and OSHA
  • Support budget controls by eliminating waste and using resources responsibly

  • 2+ years of experience in multi-family maintenance, construction, or a trade (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
  • Knowledge of general carpentry, repair, and building systems
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
  • Positive attitude, organized, and energetic
  • Strong customer service orientation and solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from work
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade schooling a plus

Physical: This role requires regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, crouching, and working in all weather conditions.

WHAT YOU GET

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Company-paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with a generous company match
  • Profit sharing
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Supplemental Critical Illness Insurance
