Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare
Rancho Cordova, CA

In-Home Hospice And Euthanasia Veterinarians

Practice Medicine the Way You Always Hoped You Would!

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Ranco Cordova, Gold River & Folson, California & Surrounding Areas.

If you are a compassionate veterinarian looking for a career outside the traditional clinic environment - one with greater professional autonomy, meaningful relationships with pet families, and the time to practice veterinary medicine with intention - Heartstrings Pet Hospice offers a different way to practice.

No waiting room. No double-booked appointment columns. No corporate production dashboard. Just you, a family who loves their pet, and the time and space to provide compassionate end-of-life veterinary care the way you believe it should be provided.

At Heartstrings, our veterinarians provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services, helping families navigate one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership in the comfort and privacy of home.

Privately Held. Family-Owned. Doctor-Led.

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned and doctor-led veterinary practice. We are not a private-equity-owned veterinary group, and we believe veterinarians should have the professional autonomy to practice medicine while maintaining control over the direction of their careers.

And at Heartstrings, WE DO NOT USE VETERINARIAN NON-COMPETE AGREEMENTS.

Not a shortened non-compete. Not a smaller geographic radius. Not a so-called "reasonable" restriction.

None!

Your veterinary career should never be held hostage by a contract clause.

Unlike veterinary organizations that restrict where veterinarians can work after leaving, Heartstrings believes talented veterinary professionals should be free to build their careers on their own terms.

We want veterinarians to stay with Heartstrings because they Choose To Stay - because they value the work, the families they serve, their professional autonomy, and the quality of life this type of veterinary medicine can provide.

Your career belongs to you. We would simply like the opportunity to earn the right to be part of it.

If you are searching for a veterinarian job in Rancho Cordova, Folsom & Gold River, California & Surrounding area and want to explore a career in in-home pet hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Compassion. Dignity. Respect. That is what we promise pet familiesand what we believe veterinary professionals deserve from the organization they choose to call home.

The veterinarians who thrive at Heartstrings Pet Hospice are often the doctors who have always been especially good at the moments that matter mostthe difficult conversations, supporting families through anticipatory grief, and providing compassionate end-of-life veterinary care with empathy, confidence, and clinical judgment.

If you have ever finished a euthanasia appointment and thought, "That was the most meaningful thing I did all weekI just wish I'd had another twenty minutes," you already understand why veterinarians choose In-Home Pet Hospice and Euthanasia Care.

This role can be an especially meaningful career path for experienced general practice and emergency veterinarians who want to step away from the relentless pace of a traditional veterinary hospital or ER without stepping away from practicing medicine. Instead of crowded appointment schedules and competing demands, our veterinarians can focus on hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain and symptom management, and peaceful in-home euthanasia while helping families make informed, compassionate decisions for the pets they love.

We also genuinely welcome veterinarians returning to clinical practice, doctors seeking a flexible veterinary career, and veterinarians building a schedule around children, family, travel, or life outside of work.

You spent years becoming a veterinarian. You should not have to choose between practicing meaningful veterinary medicine and having a meaningful life outside of it.

Enterprise Sales Engineer
Omnea
Astoria, NY

The Role

AI is changing what it means to run enterprise pre-sales. Building a custom demo, standing up a proof-of-concept environment, or drafting responses to a security questionnaire used to mean days of manual configuration and copy-paste from old RFP answers. Increasingly, that first-draft work can be directed rather than done by hand: AI can generate demo environments, draft PoC configurations, and produce a first pass on technical RFP responses.

The job shifts with it. Instead of building every demo and proof point from scratch, you specify exactly what a prospect needs to see, direct AI to build the first draft, and apply the judgment AI can't: does this PoC actually prove the thing this customer's IT security team will ask about, does this demo reflect how their approval hierarchy actually works, is this RFP answer technically accurate or just plausible-sounding.

As Omnea's AI Sales Engineer, you're the technical authority in our enterprise sales process, working alongside Sales to win some of the world's largest companies. You run discovery, build and direct demos and PoCs, and become the trusted technical advisor a prospect leans on to decide whether Omnea is real. You're deep in the modern finance and procurement stack - ERPs, CLMs, GRC, AP automation - and you use that expertise to judge what AI produces, not just to present it.

This is a foundational hire on our Sales Engineering team, working closely with Sales, Product, and the Customer team who take a deal from signed to live.

What You'll Do

  • Own technical discovery and demos: Run technical discovery sessions with prospects, direct AI to build a first-draft demo environment tailored to what you've learned, then adapt it based on what only a human would catch - a workflow quirk, a compliance requirement, a stakeholder's pet objection.

  • Drive PoCs end to end: Scope and own proof-of-concepts in collaboration with Product and the Customer team, directing AI to configure the environment fast and applying your own judgment on whether the PoC actually proves what the prospect needs to see to move forward.

  • Answer the hard technical and security questions: Direct AI to draft first-pass responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, then validate every answer against the prospect's actual requirements - a wrong answer here can lose the deal or create a problem after signature.

  • Be the bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer: Translate what you're hearing in the field into product feedback, and hand off cleanly to the Customer team so nothing gets lost between a signed contract and a live deployment.

  • Build the pre-sales toolkit: Keep demo environments, technical documentation, and RFP libraries sharp, using AI to draft and refresh materials as the product evolves, and refining what works based on what's actually landing with prospects.

About You

We don't expect you to know how to do all of this on day one. TL;DR: you're technical enough to be a genuine authority in the room, customer-facing enough to be trusted by a CFO or a CISO, and comfortable directing AI to do the heavy lifting so you can focus on the judgment calls only you can make.

  • 3-7 years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, ideally in B2B SaaS

  • Ideally you have experience in the modern finance or procurement stack - you understand procurement and AP automation, and have demoed, implemented, or administered tools like ERPs, CLMs, or GRC platforms

  • Comfortable directing AI tools to produce first-draft demos, configurations, and RFP responses, with the judgment to catch what's wrong before a prospect sees it

  • A strong technical foundation: you can learn a complex software platform fast and go deep enough to answer hard security and architecture questions

  • An excellent communicator who can simplify technical concepts for multiple stakeholders from CFO, CPO to CISO.

  • A proactive problem-solver with real troubleshooting instincts and a customer-first mindset

  • Comfortable owning RFPs, RFIs, and IT security questionnaires end to end, including the technical requirements that come with them

At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out.

A Few Things To Note

  • We offer competitive geo-localised benefits, and you can check out our UK Benefits Package and our US Benefits Package.

  • We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time.

  • We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive. You can see our values and our Omnea Future Founder's fund here!

  • We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background).

We are proud to be recognised for both our culture and product, and we are just getting started. Join us as we grow!
