Job Description Summary

The surgical technologist prepares surgical set-up for procedures; observes and anticipates the needs of the surgeon during the procedure; functions within a sterile field; functions as a surgical assistant. Our facility boasts nine fully equipped operating rooms, designed to accommodate a diverse range of medical specialties. Among these, two are dedicated to da Vinci XI robotic surgeries, providing cutting-edge technology for minimally invasive procedures with unparalleled precision. Additionally, we are equipped with the Mako orthopedic robot, specifically designed for total joint surgeries, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in hip and knee replacements. Our facility supports a wide variety of surgical specialties, including ENT, Gynecology (GYN), Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cystoscopy (Cysto), and Podiatry. For patients requiring advanced vascular interventions, we also feature a dedicated Endovascular Surgery Suite, equipped with specialized imaging and tools for complex, minimally invasive procedures.   • Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Recycling, Organics, and other departments to gather information required for municipal reporting
  • Monitor contract requirements and ensure responsible departments complete required actions and deliverables
  • Track outstanding commitments, corrective actions, reporting deadlines, and municipal requests
  • Review reports and presentations before submission to city staff and other public agencies
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential compliance issues and drive them through resolution
  • Develop procedures, templates, tracking systems, and internal controls to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage workload and staffing across the department while establishing clear expectations and performance standards
  • Support meetings with municipal staff and assist with presentations, contract reviews, audits, and compliance discussions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Environmental Studies, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience, including experience leading a large administrative or professional team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage 20+ employees, multiple workstreams, and competing deadlines
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills
  • Experience managing contractual requirements, compliance reporting, government reporting, regulated programs, or complex client deliverables
  • Strong Excel, reporting, documentation, and data-management skills
  • Ability to review detailed information for accuracy and identify discrepancies or missing requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with executives, operational leaders, municipal staff, and other external stakeholders
  • Experience with municipal government, waste and recycling, environmental programs, public utilities, transportation, or another regulated industry is preferred but not required

Position: Family Service Assistant / Site Supervisor

Program and Location: Head Start, Minden

Position Summary: The Family Service Assistant is the link between families and the community, provides support to center staff, and works closely with teachers.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit eligible families, including children with disabilities, maintain a wait list, and generate enrollment acceptance letters.
  • Maintain funded enrollment, replace open slots within 30 days of opening, and maintain a wait list throughout the program year.
  • Ensure behavioral/emotional, hearing, vision, dental and physical screenings are completed within the required time frame.
  • Ensure health service mandates are in compliance, mental health observations occur, a Child Health History is complete and track all follow-up information.
  • Provide information to families regarding community events, parent education classes, and other items of importance.
  • Actively refer families to resources available in the community.
  • Pursue partnerships with community resources.
  • Recruit and maintain Policy Council parent, community and alternate representatives.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with families.
  • Be actively engaged in all Head Start activities and model appropriate behavior.

Tasks:

  • Submit paperwork in an organized, timely manner.
  • Ensure ongoing and end of year transition activities take place.
  • Recruit and maintain Policy Council representatives and alternates, provide transportation to required meetings, and communicate agenda, minutes, and meetings dates to members.
  • Facilitate and attend Family Connection Events.
  • Attend initial and mid-year home visits along with the Teacher.
  • Attend partner meetings and present to community organizations.
  • Ensure children’s immunizations are up to date.
  • Assist in the classroom as needed.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED. Family Services Certification, AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services preferred. Previous experience in early childhood, health, social services or related field.

This position is a non-federal role funded through an existing agreement between NRCS and NEW Solutions. The enrollee will provide direct support to farmers and landowners, enabling the implementation of conservation practices on the ground. This role contributes to NRCS's mission by enhancing capacity in field offices and ensuring timely assistance to producers. It is designed to free up NRCS staff for emergency and high-priority responses, not to replace federal staff.

This role helps ensure continued progress on conservation planning, practice implementation, and technical assistance, especially in high-demand or disaster-affected areas. It aligns with the Administration's priorities for farmer-first, field-facing, and partner-enabled capacity expansion.

For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS). These are experienced professionals who provide technical and professional assistance to the Department of Agriculture for the Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program.

Qualifications:

Ability to understand maps, coordinate system and projections and basic GIS data, field application of GPS Photo Interpretation skills, basic letter writing and proficiency in written and verbal communications. Experience with implementation of conservation practices on private land. Experience with Survey grade engineering equipment and AutoCAD. OR BA/BS Degree in Engineering

  • Must have an active Professional Engineer License. Must possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator's license for the type of vehicle(s) operated to perform the duties of this position. This may require the operation of a motor vehicle on both public and private roads during daylight hours and occasionally after dark. May require the operation of a ATV/UTV on both public and private roads during daylight hours and occasionally after dark. Skill in operating personal computer software, as well as simple programming (including word processing, spreadsheets, email, file transfers, internet, time keeping, and databases), in order to research, tabulate, and analyze economic data, prepare correspondence, finalize documents, and foster work improvement. Basic GIS certification, GPS training and proficiency. Possess practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of conservation as they relate to agricultural operations and of NRCS conservation standards and specifications to certify practices installed correctly. Duties:

Assist the State, Area and Field Offices with program support activities in the implementation of layout and designs of engineering practices.

  • In consultation with the supervisor, develops designs and construction plans for traditional and complex projects that utilize engineering practices such as waterways grade stabilization structures, streambank protection, wetland restorations, animal waste control systems, and others using tools such as GPS survey grade units and Civil 3D CADD throughout the State.   30%

The work requires regular and recurring exposure to operating agricultural equipment requiring safety precautions; protective gear and clothing are necessary at such times. There may be exposure to inclement weather, poisonous insects and animals, and irritating plants. The conservation work requires regular and recurring physical exertion, prolonged walking on rough terrain, crossing ditches and furrows, and/or climbing steep banks. Carry equipment and tools while conducting field work, routinely lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Required Safety Gear: Agency will provide the following items if needed: safety vest, hard hat.
  • Safety Gear Use: NRCS will provide a cell phone for emergency calls that may arise in the field. Enrollee will provide the following items: Attire appropriate to field and weather conditions for working outside in Minnesota year-round, appropriate footwear for field and weather conditions for spending long hours outside in Minnesota year round.
