Job Summary: To provide safe, reliable and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as well as performing expert diagnosis and repair as required to prevent breakdowns on road, reduce vehicle downtime and improve total fleet reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet.
  • Perform FAI/CVI (First Article Inspection/Commercial Vehicle Inspection) (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment by all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies).
  • Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, refrigeration units (Reefer), lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment.
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair to refrigeration units (Reefer).
  • Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely, and efficiently.
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders.
  • Mentor, teach and share expertise with Fleet Technician I and II to aid in their development to positions of greater responsibility.
  • May perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors are not accessible.
  • Proficient in electrical meter testing
  • Knowledge of controls and electric (DC low voltage)
  • Electric motor knowledge (DC)
  • Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school
  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • 4 years of experience OR
  • 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred, Not Required)

Professional Skills:

Summary The Operations Superintendent for SENY Transmission will oversee auxiliary and operational groups tending to the local operations of the various underground transmission and substation facilities, as well as the Regional Control Room for NYPA's Southeast New York (SENY) asset base. The Superintendent will be responsible for instilling a zero-harm culture, collaborating with EH&S to develop human performance initiatives, and working with corresponding section leads to develop region-specific operational governance for coordinated safe and reliable operations SENY's Transmission system. The Superintendent will maintain a broad outlook, handle projections, and manage resource and budgets related to T2035 workstream initiatives. Some initiatives include the development of a regional Control Room for local operations that interfaces with NYPA's Energy Control Center. The Superintendent will be responsible for working with corresponding section leads to develop agreements related to third-party partnerships with Collective Bargaining Units and/or contractors. The Superintendent will have overarching responsibilities to develop region-specific headcount, onboarding protocols, team- talent development, and training programs. The Superintendent will lead operational responsibilities related to SENY Transmission's current and future asset base by working with the NYPA Energy Control Center, maintenance groups, and peer transmission owner/operator counterparts to ensure operational actions and directives align with worker protection protocols consistent with, but not limited to, NYPA's Electrical Safety Procedures, NERC, NPCC, and OSHA protocols. The Operations Superintendent will assist in keeping to the organizational Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets around misoperations, accidents, injuries, and O&M and Capital budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop employees including performance management, salary administration, succession planning and workload balancing.
  • Identify and recommend department staffing level requirements.
  • Support the implementation of the Bargaining Unit agreement, to ensure the availability of an effective workforce pursuant to the agreement.

  • Through the Utility Operations Project Portfolio (UOPP) gated workflow process, evaluate project options for asset optimization giving due consideration to risks, costs and expected performance.
  • Assist with developing business cases with cost/return analysis evaluating the benefits and risks of proposed solutions/additions.
  • Support development of the site capital and non-recurring O&M plan and participate in the UOPP process.
  • Provide site support for execution of the plans, where applicable.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and collaboration, critical for successful NYPA asset management.
  • Lead, manage and drive the use of digital systems (Maximo, APM, DataSplice, GADS) to their fullest extent.

We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Hydro Group Fitness Instructors to lead innovative and engaging hydro sculpt water-based classes.   • Availability includes multiple day parts during the week
  • Teaches a minimum of two weekly classes

  • Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE, AFAA, or equivalent)
  • Aqua-specific certification (AEA, SCW, or equivalent) preferred
  • CPR/AED certification (required or willing to obtain)
  • Previous experience teaching aqua or water fitness classes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
