Summary: Transports patients to areas such as operating rooms or x-ray rooms using wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds. May also transport supplies, equipment, specimens, and/or medications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lifts or assists others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers.
  • Transports patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds.
  • Cleans, disinfects, and sanitizes equipment, such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, or portable medical equipment, documenting needed repairs or maintenance.
  • Responds to emergency situations, such as emergency medical calls, security calls, or fire alarms.
  • Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
  • May perform other duties upon request.

A genuine desire to work in a service capacity to support individuals who are receiving residential treatment for Substance Use Disorder.

About the Job: Recovery Technicians (RT) are a key employee within Wellspring's Continuum of Care. While work duties may vary slightly within specific programs, all RT staff should be able to work at any program with minimal extra-training. Some sites need the RTs to assist with cooking and cleaning, or have a requirement for overnight staff member to stay awake. All programs require RT's to have a friendly, supportive affect with all clients and to engage in conversation, and activities with the clients. Depending on the program, RT's help clients in their recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders through role modeling, and empathetic trauma-informed support using motivational interviewing when appropriate.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $158,720.00 - $238,080.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
