Host Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Greet guest in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner and escort guests to tables

Description: This emergency department sees both pediatrics and adults. Travelers must be comfortable caring for both populations. Ratios are 1:4. Weekend requirements: Every third weekend. No on-call requirements. Clinicians will not float within scope to meet facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedules: No. Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are accepted. No specific restrictions are noted. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts. Special requirements include knowledge of glucostabilizers. This is an acute care hospital with a total of 233 staffed beds. Daily census ranges from 120 to 160. The unit consists of 25 rooms and 25 beds. There is a variety of patient diagnoses, including abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and musculoskeletal injuries. Pediatric experience is preferred. Special equipment includes a Level 1 infuser. Maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed; anything beyond requires manager approval. No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment. Licenses must match permanent residence for compact submissions. All travelers are expected to float within the service line. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different assignment are not permitted. Compliance deadline for requirements is the Monday of the week before the initial start date. Fit testing may be required, and travelers must ensure compliance with testing guidelines. Certifications must be obtained by the compliance hard document deadline. Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing. Modules may be required and must be completed prior to starting the assignment.
