What You'll Do:
- Hire, train and develop maintenance crews to work efficiently and safely.
- Use the latest industry technology and applications to manage your team, schedule crews, calculate and track hours and keep to your budget.
- Serve as the main point of contact for your clients. Meet with them proactively and regularly while serving as a consultative subject matter expert.
- Use your creativity to design and propose enhancements to existing landscapes.
- Assist the sales team with winning new work to add to your book of business.
- Coordinate with other departments including Irrigation, Fert/Spray, Safety and the Field Support Team (aka our back office) to promote a seamless workflow.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Turfgrass or related major preferred. Associate degree or relevant experience will also be considered.
- Very rarely do we hire anybody into this role that doesn’t have landscape experience. Plant knowledge is key.
- Someone who loves a challenge - Mother Nature, budgets, short staffed on a Monday morning – you know the drill!
- Ability to comfortably have conversations with people of all backgrounds. Interact with your crews, Board Presidents, and our senior management/CEO.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Position Overview:
Manage the daily transactions of all items received to the dock, including all paperwork for receiving and enter into Oracle system. Assist shipping department as needed. Assist with managing supply crib inventory and manage the flow of materials in and out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement staff to determine expected deliveries and assist with any matching hold issues that arise.
- Assist shipping department as needed.
- Verify, sign off and enter receipt of incoming shipments into Oracle in a timely manner.
- Visually inspect contents to ensure packages aren’t damaged.
- Responsible for accuracy of documents and verifying receipts with open orders.
- Compare identifying information (counts, weights or measures) of shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Maintain accurate files and records.
- Assist in inventory control including physical inventories monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Assist with WIP audits and inventories as needed.
- Assist with the receipt of alloy and moving into the alloy crib along with the Lead Crib Attendant.
- Accuracy and close attention to detail is a must.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working Environment: Shop floor;
- The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery
- Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
- Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
- Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant
Qualifications:
- Strong work history.
- Prior manufacturing experience desired.
- Desire to work with your hands in a production environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Must be willing to participate in pre-employment drug screening.
- Some positions require vision screening with or without corrective lenses.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required.
- Certifications/Licenses: Tow-motor license
- Ability to read. Basic Math skills. Basic Computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Detail orientation. Accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Product Engineer Instructions (PEI). Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership. Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Furnace Operator to support our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring industrial furnace equipment, ensuring all processes meet operational, quality, and safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret work orders and instructions in order to determine work assignments, process specifications, and production schedules.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment, using scrapers, solvents, air hoses, oil, and hand tools.
- Load molds into the pre-heat ovens for cast.
- Prepare furnaces for casting.
- Cast test bars to sample metal for analysis.
- Pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into molds and forms to produce ingots or other castings.
- Position equipment such as ladles, grinding wheels, pouring nozzles, or crucibles, or signal other workers for assistance.
- Skim slag or remove excess metal from ingots or equipment, using hand tools, strainers, rakes, or burners.
- Collect scrap for recycling.
- Add hot top to molds to compensate for shrinkage.
- Bag-wrap molds and place in cooling carts.
- Load specified amounts of metal and flux into furnaces or clay crucibles.
- Weigh or measure specified amounts of ingredients or materials for processing, using devices such as scales and calipers.
- Monitor equipment operation, gauges, and panel lights in order to detect deviations from standards. Report equipment malfunctions to Team Leaders, equipment operators and Maintenance.
- Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production in log books.
- Drain, transfer, or remove molten metal from furnaces, and place it into molds, using hoists, pumps, or ladles.
- Transport materials and products to and from work areas, manually or using carts, hand trucks, lift trucks, hoists or manipulators.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to and enforce proper safety/security procedures and protocol.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: Previous foundry experience desired.
- Certifications/Licenses: None
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and write, ability to follow instruction, ability to lift 60 pounds, ability to withstand extreme heat, basic computer skills, interpersonal communication skills, verbal communication skills, mechanically inclined, team orientation, accuracy, positive perspective, sense of urgency.
