Summary/Objective

The Director of Quality Assurance plans and directs activities concerned with the maintenance of established Pilgrim’s programs including the Animal Food Safety Program, USDA and 3rd party certification and regulatory programs. The Director of Quality Assurance also supports the Technical Services Division with additional activities as deemed necessary.

Essential Functions

Animal Food Safety

  • Manage each facility’s Animal Food Safety Plan ensuring regulatory requirements are achieved. The Director of QA will be responsible for assisting the mill manager's in education, implementation and program compliance in addition to record keeping and overseeing internal audits of processes and procedures at specified intervals.
  • Enforce Pilgrim’s standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation based on the prescribed requirements of the Animal Food Safety Plan, Quality Assurance Manual and utilizing 6S principles.
  • Maintain Pilgrim’s Supplier Verification Program to satisfy the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act. The Director of QA will be responsible for assisting the mill managers in education, implementation and program compliance.
  • Conduct routine on-site audits of each feed manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, customer required certifications and company prescribed standards.

Process Verification Programs

  • Develop, implement and maintain 3rd party audit-ready programs for complexes with value-added product claims.
  • Conduct on-site audits of PVP certified complexes to ensure the integrity of the certified product claims are achieved.
  • Attend certification audits to ensure audit deficiencies and corrective actions are completed at the complex level.
  • Supports the complex, customers and suppliers to ensure the integrity of all processes related to the customer programs.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Assists the Feed Mill Managers in maintaining FDA and other agency requirements.
  • Maintains an understanding of pertinent regulatory changes and informs both Senior Management and Feed Mill Management of changes to requirements.

Additional Responsibility

  • Manage the Plantraks regulatory dashboard
  • Support the feed mills with FDSA, FMIM and SAP

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are determined by the needs of the facilities. This job will require travel up-to 30 weeks per year and work requires visiting feed mills, hatcheries, grow-out and processing facilities.

Required Education and Experience

Work related experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, FDA and USDA regulation is preferred. Work related experience in Quality Assurance methods and 3rd party certification programs is required. A degree in Poultry Science or a food safety related field is preferred.

About the Position

The Talent Acquisition Partner serves as a strategic partner to internal leaders and external clients, providing consultative guidance and data-driven insights to support effective hiring strategies. This role leads full-cycle recruitment efforts across high-volume programs, managing sourcing, interviewing, candidate qualification, and offer processes while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Partner also guides and supports recruiting teams and contributes to continuous process optimization within an RPO delivery model.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in planning with team leadership to identify recruiting strategies, client needs, and methods that achieve the highest fill rates, while providing input on system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Source potential candidates through the company database, job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals, expanding the network of qualified talent.
  • Conduct interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, cultural fit, and critical success factors using behavioral and situational techniques, then qualify and submit candidates per client and RPO guidelines.
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including submission, interview coordination, offer development, negotiation, closing, and all related administrative components, while maintaining strong communication with candidates from application through placement.
  • Negotiate compensation packages with consideration for individual and team gross margin goals and extend offers of employment on behalf of the client.
  • Maintain accurate ATS records and ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support large-scale, high-volume recruiting programs by leveraging expertise in RPO delivery, ATS management, process optimization, and event-based hiring.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to recruiting teams, promoting accountability, ownership, and adherence to SOPs and client processes.
  • Partner closely with internal and external leadership on key initiatives, project planning, and process enhancements, applying strategic, data-driven insights to drive efficient hiring and continuous improvement.
  • Build and sustain strong, consultative client relationships and proactively identify and resolve challenges while influencing outcomes and adapting to diverse client needs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, innovative recruiting techniques, and competitor activity, recommending enhancements to recruitment strategies and overall departmental effectiveness.
  • Travel approximately four weeks over a three-month period, to support client hiring events, special projects, and team initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Two years of full cycle recruiting in life sciences; commercial experience preferred.
  • Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job’s impact to the organization.
  • Work with electronic hardware and software applications specific to the role.

Salary: Annualized at $75,000 - $96,000 (actual pay will be prorated based on the length of the temporary assignment)

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position may also be eligible to participate in a company incentive plan and/or commission plan.
