Quick Facts Location: Slidell, LA Start Date: 09/29/2026 Shift: 7am Friday 7am Monday (24-hour call with 8 hours patient contact) Hours/Week: 36 hours Employment Type: Full-time Certifications: Active license and background clearance required Experience: Previous ICU, pulmonary, and critical care experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $1.00 (pay package discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick leave in accordance with law Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable What You ll Do Provide acute pulmonary and critical care services within a high-capacity hospital environment Respond to urgent consults for pulmonary and critical care needs ( 18 per day) Manage ICU patients with support from hospitalists and a multidisciplinary team Perform procedures including line placements (central, dialysis lines, intubations) during day hours Participate in 24/7 call coverage, including nights and weekends Collaborate with multiple specialty services, including surgery and anesthesia, for comprehensive patient care Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards What You Need Required: Valid medical license with privileges at the hospital Relevant ICU, pulmonary, and critical care experience Ability to participate in 24/7 call schedule Clean background check and current certifications Preferred: Local or drive-in candidates Prior experience in high-volume, high-acuity settings About the Assignment This role is based at a full-service hospital in Slidell, LA, with a capacity of 162 beds: including 30 ICU beds and 24 step-down units. The hospital operates an open ICU model, with most patients admitted under hospital medicine. The facility is typically at capacity, handling an average of 18 consults daily in pulmonary and critical care, with substantial backup from vascular, surgical, and anesthesia services available 24/7. You will work within a supportive environment emphasizing high-quality, urgent care for critically ill patients.
