You will be a trusted Talent Acquisition subject matter expert for our business, ensuring that CLS is identifying, attracting and hiring the very best talent from across the market.

We're looking for someone passionate about playing a part in the continued evolution of our Talent Acquisition function - with a strong track record of direct sourcing, creating and managing effective hiring strategies, and delivering exceptional stakeholder and candidate experiences. You will take a proactive and inclusive approach to talent acquisition, championing our recruitment strategy and employer value proposition, Inclusion efforts, and building talent pipelines that align with current and future organisational needs.

  • Execute the full end to end recruitment cycle for a variety of roles across multiple corporate functions and levels across the US, Asia and UK:
    • Responsible for leading direct sourcing efforts utilizing recruitment tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, employee referrals, CLS job board etc) managing in-house searches and engaging with the external candidate market to identify and attract diverse talent.
    • Ownership and oversight of all required recruitment processes and governance - providing appropriate guidance and counsel for hiring managers.
    • Advise and agree on appropriate channels to market to maximize process effectiveness and further reduce external recruitment agency dependency.
    • Relationship manage PSL vendors and any other external stakeholders in a highly professional and commercial manner.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate interviews and ensure robust feedback mechanisms through to offer stage.
    • Offer management and seamless on-boarding in partnership with HR Business Partnering, Reward and HR Shared Services.
  • Maximise effectiveness of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and support process and functionality enhancements.
  • Stay well informed of latest industry trends, market information and technological advances that will ensure the CLS Talent Acquisition team is operating best practices.
  • Ensure hiring managers and other interviewers conduct their role in the recruitment process in a way that promotes high quality, fair and positive candidate experiences.
  • Partner with the business to execute briefings for interviewers on candidate information, role context, prior interview feedback and ensure interviews are structured and effective.
  • Work with HR Shared Services to ensure and maintain and improve availability and accuracy of Talent Acquisition related headcount/vacancy information and data.
  • Ensure all Talent Acquisition processes are compliant with employment legislation, immigration rules and internal policies.
  • Collaborate on firmwide ad-hoc projects in support of meeting team and organizational objectives.
  • Support the wider HR function in promoting internal mobility and identification of high potential talent.

Job Summary

The Chemistry Lab Analyst will perform moderate to high complexity testing on non-clinical specimens. Will operate and maintain highly complex instrumentations such as Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Ion Chromatography (IC), as well as demonstrate proficiency on routine environmental testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting in accordance with protocols established by Ascend Clinical. Perform a variety of standardized microbiological tests such as heterotrophic place counts and endotoxin detection assay. Processes specimens, performs test preparation, specimen verification and tracking, all related clerical functions and general clean-up tasks for routine as well as high complex tests. Reports, analyzes, and verifies environmental results, which are substantiated by the proper use of quality control systems. Must recognize problems, identify causes and determine alternative methods and solutions. Actively contributes to quality assurance activities and participates in proficiency testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Knows and complies with all Ascend Clinical policies and procedures: General Policies, Chemical Hazard, Illness and Injury Prevention Program, Quality Assurance Program and ELAP. Understands the hazards associated with failing to follow those procedures
  • Performs high complexity testing of water analysis according to EPA, AAMI, and/or ELAP guidelines
  • Proficient in setting up multiple laboratory instrumentations used for non-clinical specimens
  • Instrument daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance
  • Troubleshooting instruments
  • Instrument validation
  • Attends and completes advance training for department instrumentations
  • Capable of assisting in sample processing and preparation in high complex test environments
  • Actively participates in facility's Quality Assurance program
  • Assists in orientation and training of new staff members, as directed by management
  • Assumes responsibility for special projects, as directed by management
  • Oversees completion of maintenance records and workstation/instrument supplies. Ensures that regular preventive maintenance by the manufacturer has been completed

Qualifications:

  • College degree, science related preferred or equivalent number of years of relevant job experience
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Proficient in chemistry, math, medical terminology, knowledge of specimen preparation techniques, and principles of operation of common laboratory instruments
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and high complexity instrumentation such as ICP-MS and IC
  • Ability to follow complicated instructions with accuracy and perform detailed tasks thoroughly and completely

Compensation:

  • $30-32/hr

This is a Site Safety Manager that is responsible for the safety and well-being of about 50 employees on one site. We serve a client in a facilities capacity in an industrial atmosphere. You will be part of an awesome team of about10 safety practitioners that serve this client, but you will be responsible for only Flint Assembly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of workers through training, education, and daily communication through implementationand interpretation of MIOSHA Regulatory requirements applicable to the scope of work being performed.
  • Understand and comply with General Motors - Safety Contract Management programs and protocols
  • Maintain/ update/ create as necessary safety management system
  • Walk the thin line between management and the front line in a union environment
  • Work towards a proactive safety culture rather than a reactive one
  • Perform training on regulatory compliance topics including, asbestos, lead-based paint, blood bornepathogens, confined space, energy control, fall protection, and hearing conservation
  • Support the development and implementation of additional safety strategies within the scope of work for thisclient as well as to support business development efforts for other clients
  • Manage by walking about (40-60% of your time)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Public Health, or relevant field. In lieu of a degree, commensurate experience may be considered to meet this requirement
  • Experience related to MIOSHA compliance including field level implementation
  • Experience in hospitality or facilities services and/or automotive experience strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and build relationships, and ability to lead with and without formal authority
  • Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, and ability to take calculated initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and project management experience are a must.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (including public speaking)Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
