The Opportunity
- Seeking Emergency Department physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
- 1-2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required.
- Current national certification, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA are required.
- Current AZ state license is a plus.
The Practice
Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital - Tucson, Arizona
- Regional EMS base hospital and largest regional referral hospital of the system located on the east side of Tucson.
- Adult Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 emergency services.
- 2024 ED volume averages 70-80 patients per day (aging geriatric population) with a 33% admit rate, 11% critical care.
- Women's and OB Center with low acuity NICU.
- Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation and Vituity scribe support.
Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital - Tucson, Arizona
- The first and oldest hospital in continuous operation in all of Arizona (since 1880). Located on the west side of Tucson near downtown.
- 2024 ED volume averages 80-90 patients per day (underserved population) with a 20% admit rate, 7% critical care.
- STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Structural Heart Center.
- 24/7 in-house hospitalists and intensivists.
- Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation and Vituity scribe support.
- Regional EMS base hospital, Inpatient Geriatric Psych Unit, and Bariatric Center.
- Contracted hospital with Arizona Department of Corrections for inmates.
