Inpatient Clinical Dietitian

Location: Lancaster General Hospital

Schedule: 24 Hours Per Week

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides individual and group nutrition counseling for referred patients and provides education programs for business and community groups. Patient/customer care includes care to patients/customers in the following age groups: adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Provides individual and group nutrition counseling and education in nutrition principles in outpatient settings.
• Maintains effective nutrition education programs for specific populations served.
• Maintains nutritional records and communicates pertinent information with appropriate healthcare professional(s).
• Participates in continuing educational activities to maintain current skills and information and as per license requirements.
• Participates in marketing of services.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

• Performs daily and/or routine maintenance and calibrates the test equipment as necessary. Recognizes and troubleshoots basic instrument malfunctions and resolves with the proper action taken.
• Sets up, performs, and evaluates programmed quality control materials according to established control limits.
• Provides nutritional updates and educates staff in nutritional education trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited school.
• Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a dietitian-nutritionist within three (3) months from date of hire.
• Certification as a Registered Dietitian, issued by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or registration eligible/obtaining certification within 3 months from date of hire.
• Two (2) years of nutrition education.
• One (1) year of diabetes education knowledge and counseling skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and other members of health care team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two (2) to three (3) years of clinical nutrition education, knowledge, and counseling skills.
• One (1) year education background in teaching/learning with excellent interpersonal skills.
• One (1) year of maternal/newborn nutritional education
• Previously experience working with lower income populations.
• Two (2) years of clinical nutrition education.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Key Responsibilities

• Edits Prebills via Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on the request from the Billing Attorneys.
• Generates a high volume of complex client invoices via Aderant.
• Ensures that all invoices are compliant with the billing guidelines and that all required supporting documentation is compiled prior to submission.
• Submits ebills via EHub, including all supporting documentation.
• Monitors and immediately addresses any invoice rejections, reductions, and those needing appeals.
• Responds to billing inquiries.
• Undertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed and/or requested.

Education

Minimum (Required): High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred (Not required): Two years of college with a major in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

Minimum (Required): A minimum of one year experience working in a clinical laboratory or anatomic pathology lab preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Minimum (Required): California Phlebotomy Certification - CPTI or CPTII required. Must successfully complete and maintain BLS certification.

Pay Transparency

The hourly rate range for this position is $23.69 - $30.95. The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits. Requirements:

• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in electrical or home services
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, codes and applications
• Experience with CRM software and digital sales tools
• Familiarity with scheduling or field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Jobber, or similar) a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer services skills
• Valid driver's license
• Must meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from treatment areas as scheduled
• Prepares patients for treatment
• Assists with and/or provides treatment as directed by therapists
• Transports clients in company van, as needed, for community activities
• Assists the therapists and assistants in clerical and patient related duties. Performs other administrative tasks as directed including computerized activities
• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment areas and department
• Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies and equipment
• Records daily treatment charges and documentation in accordance with approved billing and documentation guidelines
• Coordinates work activities with members of other departments and other staff within the rehabilitation department
• Participates in department meetings and in facility meetings as assigned
• Participates in Facility Performance Improvement programs
• Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to information that is confidential in nature. Shares information only when recipient's right to access is clearly established

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
• A minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instructions in a health care environment is preferred
• Previous experience in patient care in a rehabilitation center is preferred. Therapy students are considered
• Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facility
• Able to work independently and part of a team
• Maintains a valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance coverage
• Motor vehicle driver record background check results are within acceptable company standards at time of hire and annually thereafter
• A minimum of two years' experience driving a motor vehicle

As a Supply Technician, GS-2005-07 you will: Perform routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which require technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Plan requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorize procurement and is responsible for funds management. Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
