Experience Requirements

If in a 4‑year program, a minimum experience of two acute care medical‑surgical clinical rotations (or one medical‑surgical rotation and one clinical rotation which is pertinent to the clinical area applying for) from an accredited school of nursing is required. If in a 2‑year program or accelerated/direct entry, must be in or have completed one medical‑surgical clinical rotation along with pertinent work experience is required.   • Reviews care plans for all patients returning from hospitalizations, ER runs, and off‑site specialty care visits.
  • Reviews and signs‑off on labs daily.
  • Provides clinical supervision (a leader and mentor for) staff physicians and mid‑level providers at the site level.
  • Works closely with the site manager to ensure successful, efficient and effective patient care.
  • Responsive to Corporate, State‑wide, Regional Medical Directors and Regional and Site Managers.
  • Checks email at least twice daily.
  • Responds to the Agency Medical Director with guidance from the Regional and State‑wide Medical Directors.
  • Addresses medical grievances with assistance of Site Managers.
  • Communicates regularly with dentists, mental health professionals, and optometrists on site to develop a more holistic approach to healthcare for our patients.
