Major Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive respiratory care The Respiratory therapist administers respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practices, clinical decision making, and skilled communication, the therapist compassionately leads efforts to creates the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum, under the guidance of a licensed respiratory therapist in designated areas per site discretion.


  • Operates specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues. Assists physician with bedside or other procedures as applicable to facility.


  • Provides medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient driven respiratory protocols (PDRP's) as prescribed.


  • Cleans, maintains and ensures proper functionality of equipment. Can troubleshoot equipment as necessary and identifies the need for service and/or repair.


  • Educates and instructs patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.


  • Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to provide education on managing patients.


  • Under physician direction, the respiratory therapist must be able to adapt and comply to policies and procedures for a variety of different service areas, perform tasks and/or special duties as required by assignment and maintain performance standards and organizational behaviors.


  • Promotes a culture of safety by recognizing and applying proper safety measures to prevent patient harm. Reports patient safety events and near misses in a timely manner. Seeks to identify potential safety issues and assists in the implementation of corrective actions.


  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.






Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:




  • Respiratory Therapist certification (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) needs to be obtained within 45 days, and


  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), and


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 0 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and


  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 0 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and


  • Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) needs to be obtained within 0 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and

Camping Commitment Statement

As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel, model a full understanding of Young Life's ministry strategy and equip and lead a team of staff in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God's love for them.

Mission & Authority Through both continued training and direct experience, lead staff and prepare an environment where guests, staff, and volunteers are well cared for using the cornerstones of service, food, and systems. This is a role that oversees all of the Food Service Department; staff & development, buildings & equipment, administrative needs, and food & menu planning.

Essential Prerequisites For All Staff Members

Because of Young Life's exclusive Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and in these Bylaws, and to reflect what has always been and will continue to be the position of Young Life, specifically the Christian belief that each and every employee and volunteer of the corporation should minister as a servant of God with the primary responsibility of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, as such, is an integral part of the Christian mission and ministry of the corporation, Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith. Essential Duties

Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus. With direction from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan. Foster an environment where department staff have opportunities for ongoing spiritual development, including execution of their personal spiritual growth plan. Establish a culture where the spiritual formation of Food Service volunteers is both a priority and responsibility for all members of the department.

Attentive Hospitality: Equip servant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff and vendors, through Christ-like service.

Establish a department posture of service that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems. Direct the planning, developing and evaluation of the menu according to the Young Life Food Service standards. Anticipate and execute guest needs/requests in order to partner with our groups; meeting their needs and developing an environment where guests are heard.

Interpersonal Relationships: Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community. Comprehensive Stewardship: Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry.

Develop and equip staff to participate in comprehensive stewardship of the Food Services Department. Maintain systems for inventory control over food, equipment and other budgeted items. Manage and lead the Food Services staff in food cost tracking procedures and awareness of food costs impact on camp fees and property budget. Cultivate an environment where volunteers feel valued both as contributors and as people. Identify and ensure the hiring of quality candidates both for staff positions and intern positions.

Talent Development: Through a consistent and accountable evaluation process, we identify and provide opportunities for staff in continuing education, leadership development, career-pathing and cross-training.

Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities. Foster department staff participation in the Individual Development Plan process as well as other training and development opportunities. Intentionally pursue opportunities in mission leadership, personal growth, and development. Establish and execute training for volunteers, work crew, summer staff, and camp staff with vision towards creating a pipeline for the mission. Perform yearly evaluations for those responsible for supervising and ensure those staff participation in their IDP process.

Lead department staff in the execution of daily responsibilities with attention to the standards and metrics required for excellent camp operations. Demonstrate a commitment to uphold the Young Life Food Service Standards found in the Food Service Manual. Training Expectations:

Must obtain ServeSafe Certification within 6 months unless already certified Attend yearly departmental training Participate in monthly divisional video conferences

Camp or Job Specific Working Conditions:

May be required to lift materials weighing 60 pounds waist high. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals when training staff in the proper cleaning methods. Administrative work, as well as an active role in the kitchen. For camp specific, if applicable, see attached document

Education:

Some college education preferred or experience from a professional culinary institute preferred

Qualifications and Experience Required For The Job:

Work experience in the food service industry preferred Experience training and leading teams Demonstrate understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy and mission Experience in organizing and prioritizing tasks Experience in managing the administrative aspects of the Food Service department. Demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communication with guests, vendors and staff

Job Specific Working Conditions:

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is outlined below. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the United States.

The anticipated salary for this position can range from $51,500-$64,000 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.

POSITION PURPOSE

 

The Property Maintenance is responsible to perform installation, repair, and upkeep services in a variety of workplace settings. Maintains efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds daily.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Performs building maintenance to include plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, and appliance repair

 

Discuss and inspect issues relative to the physical condition with Property Manager

 

Coordinate maintenance schedule and assignments with Manager

 

Maintain an inventory of all tools and supplies owned by the property

 

Responsible for upkeep of all tools and equipment

 

Maintain site to include building exterior, building systems, common areas, units, and health and safety conditions in accordance with the Uniform Condition Standards (UPSC)

 

Prepare and follow Preventive Maintenance

 

Coordinate pest control treatments

 

Learn and carry out all maintenance procedures

 

Walk the property multiple times per week to ensure positive curb appeal

 

Preparation of vacant units within the 7-day timeframe for occupancy

 

Evaluate how the current monthly inspection process can effectively interface with good maintenance planning
