Skilled Caregivers: Choose a Team That Values Your Experience
RNS Private Duty Care
Overland Park, KS

Job Description

Job Description
Skilled Caregivers: Choose a Team That Values Your Experience

You’ve worked in healthcare long enough to know that not every home care company is the same.

At RNS Private Duty Care, we’re looking for experienced, dependable caregivers who take pride in the care they provide and want to work for a company that recognizes their value. We believe skilled caregivers deserve more than just a schedule - they deserve competitive pay, strong communication, supportive leadership, and a team that has their back.

Our clients and homes are carefully reviewed for safety and compatibility before assignment, and every client has a nurse case manager overseeing their care. You’ll have a local team available to support you while still having the independence that makes private duty care rewarding.

If you’re an experienced caregiver who wants to work somewhere that values your skills instead of treating you like just another employee, we want to meet you.

Why Choose RNS Over Other Home Care Companies?

  • Competitive wages ($19–$22/hr based on experience)

  • Your experience and skill level are recognized and valued

  • Supportive, locally owned leadership team

  • Direct access to a nurse case manager overseeing each client

  • Carefully screened clients and homes for safety and compatibility

  • Better communication and support from the office

  • Opportunities for professional growth and recognition

  • Opportunities to build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients

  • Weekday and weekend opportunities available

What We're Looking For:

We want caregivers who are:

  • Experienced and confident providing hands-on care

  • Dependable and committed to their assigned shifts

  • Compassionate, professional, and respectful

  • Comfortable working independently in a client’s home

  • Strong communicators who understand the importance of reporting changes and concerns

  • Comfortable working with a variety of client needs and diagnoses

  • Willing to follow RNS policies and care plans

  • Ready to be part of a team rather than simply picking up shifts

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care according to the client’s needs and established care plan

  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers

  • Monitor clients and communicate changes in condition to the RNS care team

  • Assist with fall prevention and safety monitoring

  • Take and document vital signs as needed

  • Provide medication reminders and other non-medical support

  • Assist with light household tasks and errands as appropriate

  • Provide safe transportation when required

  • Complete accurate documentation

  • Follow RNS policies, HIPAA requirements, standards of conduct, and dress code

  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the RNS team

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma

  • Caregiving experience required

  • CNA certification preferred, but not required for all positions

  • Licensed driver with a clean driving record and compliance with RNS safety policies

  • Reliable, insured vehicle

  • Cell phone with internet and texting capabilities

  • Daily access to RNS email

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the role

  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire

  • Current TB test or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire

Ready for a Better Home Care Experience?

If you’re an experienced caregiver who has worked for other home care companies and knows what good support - and bad support - looks like, we’d love the opportunity to show you how RNS is different.

Bring your experience. Bring your skills. Bring your passion for caregiving. We’ll bring the support.
