Position Purpose

Lead the development and execution of the used equipment sales strategy to drive sales growth and profitability. The Program Management Interns & Fellows plays a key role in supporting smooth and efficient processes to ensure IJM can make justice for the poor unstoppable. The Program Management Interns & Fellows will support field office leadership in setting up and maintaining management systems sufficient for the Justice System Transformation program to operate as outlined in the program proposal and Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP). IJM's Internship and Fellowship opportunities vary every session and look different in every office. Depending on your level of experience, your role may involve some of the following responsibilities as well as other relevant duties assigned by the Field Office Director or Supervisor.

  • Develop new/revised management processes and workflows (e.g., team composition; team functions; team meeting and communication practices; review and approval process for work packages; reporting/accountability system, tools, and templates);
  • Oversee management and revision of Detailed Implementation Plan (methods to update it from completed work; methods to predict and solve schedule conflicts and constraints); and
  • Oversee/lead/develop structure for quarterly program reviews (attendance, process, inputs to IJM change control system, updates to program plans).

Positions may be available in: Accra, Ghana; Bucharest, Romania; Lima, Peru; Guatemala City, Guatemala; San Salvador, El Salvador; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Manila, Philippines. Not every position will be available in every office.

Internship General Qualifications and Required Skills

The goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and support services to enable the client to be maintained and function appropriately in the least restrictive setting.

ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Provide the IEP team or other pertinent professionals with clinical data (e.g., behavioral observations) to support the behavior support plan/FBA, as well as engaging the client in age appropriate therapeutic activities.

2. As directed by the director to assist in the development and implementation of behavioral goals and other therapeutic interventions as specified in the FBA and Behavior Support Plan.

3. Respond appropriately to cases that have emergency needs and respond all information immediately to the director to further promote stabilization.

4. Use supervision/consultation effectively to improve the quality of therapeutic services.

5. Maintain an ongoing dialogue regarding client?s progress toward behavior goals with the IEP team.

6. Present periodic updates (e.g., progress toward goals) during annual IEP meetings and/or conferences as requested by the director, school district or other IEP team members.

7. Ensure that all daily progress notes for therapeutic services, or written documents clearly reflect behavior goals that are indicated in the IEP/FBA

8. Maintain the appropriate intervention hours via face-to-face contact specified in the IEP.

9. Meet weekly with the director to discuss client?s progress towards his behavior goals.

10. Work collaboratively with IEP team members and use supervision/conclusion effectively to improve the quality of therapeutic services.

11. Follow Community Council for Mental Health and special incidents reporting procedures and provide the Behavioral Specialist Consultant with information on potential issues of safety and ethical/confidentiality dilemmas.

12. Adhere to all of the Community Council for Mental Health personnel policies and the Community Council for Mental Health Code of Conduct.
