The Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology team is seeking a full-time Sonographer Vascular I to assist their clinic.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

This position primarily supports our Midtown location, with occasional support provided to satellite locations in Cornelius, Carmel, and Waverly

The Sonographer Vascular I is responsible for daily operations of the echo lab, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality improvement. The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the anatomy and pathology. The sonographer is proficient in performing basic transthoracic echoes and transesophageal echoes. The sonographer should have knowledge in diagnostic digital images and hemodynamic data for physician interpretation. Work closely with Cardiologist to obtain optimal echocardiography quality.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
    • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduates will have 6 months to pass registry), required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment.
