About the job
We are seeking a driven Senior Attorney to join our Wildfire Litigation team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation. Previous Wildfire Litigation experience is desired but not required. This role will focus on investigating and litigating cases involving human caused fires of all sizes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful cases within a collaborative team environment.

SALARY: $175,000- $225,000 annually

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Handle all phases of complex civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Assist in developing and executing legal strategies for wildfire and other complex litigation matters including investigating cause and working closely with experts throughout the litigation process.
Conduct legal research and draft high-quality briefs, motions, and memoranda.
Possess the skill and experience to operate independently in trials, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
Work closely and collaboratively with all team members in developing strategy, executing strategy, and delivering excellent client service.
Maintain strong communication with clients and ensure timely updates on case developments.

Qualifications And Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
7+ years of civil litigation experience (experience in wildfire, mass tort, or environmental litigation is a plus).
Strong litigation skills, including deposition and motion practice experience.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator for concrete paving projects, with a focus on heavy civil and transportation work including highways, runways, and military airfields. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, and ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for concrete paving projects.
  • Manage all phases of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and on-site execution.
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Monitor job costs and make recommendations to maintain profitability.
  • Maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in concrete paving and/or heavy civil project management and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT, FAA, and other public agency project requirements.
  • Proficient in estimating software and project management tools.
  • Experience designing in AutoCad Civil 3D
  • Proficient in all MS office applications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
