Multiple openings

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriting team and act as the owner and principal facilitator of assigned accounts. The Underwriting Assistant will perform front-to-end activities throughout the life cycle of renewal and prospect accounts from submission to expiration with Underwriting oversight. We will have opportunities supporting the following lines of business:

• Environmental: AXA XL's Environmental team provides specialized insurance coverage for pollution and environmental liability risks, helping businesses manage exposures related to contamination, hazardous materials, and environmental incidents while supporting underwriters through the full underwriting process
• Construction: AXA XL's Construction team specializes in underwriting complex construction and contractor-related risks, helping clients manage exposures associated with commercial building projects, infrastructure development, and other construction operations

What You'll Be Doing

• Pre-underwrites, evaluates risk, and assesses completeness of the underwriting package before underwriter is required to review. Communicate directly with Brokers on behalf of the Underwriters to collect account and insured information necessary for risk analysis.
• Perform and apply knowledge of line of business specific product underwriting rules and/or guidelines for pre-analysis support of submission in preparation of further analysis for quoting stage.
• Collaborate effectively with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and internal units within AXA XL to manage the status and workflow of multiple tasks and accounts.
