Position Summary

This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working independently, and delivering outstanding customer service.

While HVAC is your primary focus, experience with electrical, plumbing, general facility repairs, and commercial maintenance is highly valued.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.

Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment, as well as preparing items for shipment. This role consolidates responsibilities from the Receiving, Stockroom, and Shipping positions to create a more efficient workflow in the facility. Key responsibilities include verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accountable for creating a quality product. Participates in training to produce a quality product and uses preventative measures to ensure the customer requirements and standards are met. Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/ill health to themselves and others. Commitment to safety standards and adherence to company policies Understands preventative measures and creates a safe environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor/manager. Adhere to the facility's quality, environmental, health and safety policies that are identified by the management systems and outlined in ISO/TS 1649, OSHA 18001 and ISO14001.

Verify shipments by comparing identifying information such as counts, weights, and measurements with purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips. Record receiving data in SAP and other systems. Sort and place received items on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, or other predetermined criteria. Monitor product quality using inspection tools like scales and visual aids. Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, banding, and shrink-wrapping as needed. Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications by verifying information against bills of lading, invoices, and production schedules. Assemble and select containers for shipping and load/unload shipments using forklifts, hoists, and hand jacks. Store materials and supplies in designated locations, following company organization standards. Maintain stock records and perform cycle counting to verify SAP inventory levels. Issue supplies from the stockroom to production workers and keep records of materials issued. Drive forklifts and operate other material-handling equipment to move shipments between receiving, storage, and production areas. Achieve forklift certification and perform daily safety checks on forklifts. Use computer systems to maintain inventory levels and track the movement of materials. Monitor scrap and nonconforming parts to determine causes of failures and take corrective action. Conduct cycle counts on raw materials and consumables to ensure inventory accuracy. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, stockroom, and work area, including sweeping daily. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment. Communicate with relevant departments regarding incoming shipments, inventory levels, and shipment schedules. Relay information and special instructions accurately and promptly to affected team members and departments. Assist or fill in for the stockroom clerk as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Work overtime as required, which may be mandated. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor / management.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages maintenance employees and oversee automated technology.

2. Troubleshoots problems with Human-Machine Interface and Programmable Logic Controllers.

3. Maintains employee relations and evaluates job performance.

4. Conducts preventative maintenance and follow-through.

5. Makes repairs using a Business Planning and Control System.

6. Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.

7. Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.

 

Job Specifications

1. 10+ years maintenance experience is required.

2. Electrical mechanical experience is preferred.

3. Basic computers skills are required.

4. Training experience is preferred.

5. English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

 

Working Conditions

1. Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.

2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

3. Frequent exposure to hazardous material and conditions.

4. Occasional lifting, kneeling, and bending with items in excess of 100 lbs is required.

5. Travel 5% of the time.

6. Production demands may require and/or evening or weekend scheduling.

The START Center for Cancer Research ("START") is the world's largest early phase site network, fully dedicated to oncology clinical research. We are currently hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will work under the guidance of senior research staff to support the daily activities of early phase oncology clinical trials. The CRC ensures the accurate and timely conduct of clinical research, adhering to protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards. This role involves direct patient interaction, data collection, and maintaining compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The Clinical Research Coordinator will be assigned multiple protocols at any time for which they will oversee the aspects of assigned protocols with planning and coordinating patient participation in the trial. Also, this role is responsible for implementation as well as completion of protocol specific requirements, providing accurate, up to date information to all team members involved with any aspect of carrying out protocol specific requirements.

The annual base salary for this role is $45/hour-$60/hour. However, base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Schedule: 8:00 am-5:00 pm EST, Monday-Friday

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Communicate on a regular basis with Study Sponsor's, CRO's, staff, etc. regarding questions, concerns, as well as status of the protocol.
  • Monitor the overall day-to-day conduct of assigned studies in accordance with the specified protocol requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Clinical Practice to ensure integrity regarding all aspects of the study.
  • Create/review forms created or revised for assigned trials to assure protocol compliance.
  • Maintain files using standardized study document labeling and filing procedures.
  • Implement initial protocol and amendments, training staff who will be involved in patient treatment and management.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact list.
  • Assist with patient screening and determination of eligibility.
  • Facilitate the informed consent process ensuring that consent is appropriately completed.
  • Prepare and manage source documents according to standard operating procedures.
  • Recognize deviations to the protocol and will work with leadership and staff to address corrective actions to prevent deviations.
  • Assist data coordinator team with case report form completion and query resolution.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to complete and submit Serious Adverse Event reports.
  • Perform protocol specific closeout related activities in conjunction with the data coordinator.
  • Provide documentation for all deviations whether related to the protocol or a SOP.
  • Ensure that all team members involved understand and adhere to assigned protocols.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of clinical research experience.
  • Basic understanding of oncology clinical trials, particularly Phase 1 studies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, study staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical trial management software.
