Director, Spacecraft Manufacturing & NPI
Apex
los angeles, ca
Compensation: 125.000 - 150.000

Spacecraft represent the most pressing unmet need across the entire aerospace industry. As more launch vehicles come online and the cost to orbit decreases, more companies launching payloads to space continue to emerge.

For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.

Apex manufactures these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for manufacturing. Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.

We’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.

About the Role

Apex Space is seeking Manufacturing Development Director to build and scale our Manufacturing Development organization, driving the transition of spacecraft programs from early design through production readiness and high-rate manufacturing. This role will sit at the center of Engineering and Production, owning the development, maturation, and industrialization of manufacturing processes, tooling, test infrastructure, and assembly flows required to successfully ramp spacecraft production at scale.

You will lead cross-functional efforts focused on New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing process development, production readiness, and factory scaling initiatives across spacecraft assembly, integration, and test operations. Your work will directly impact our ability to rapidly bring new spacecraft platforms and hardware into production while maintaining uncompromising quality, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the Manufacturing Development organization supporting spacecraft production, including Manufacturing Engineering, Integration Engineering, Test Engineering, NPI, and production readiness initiatives.
  • Own the transition of new spacecraft products and subsystems from development into volume production, ensuring manufacturability, repeatability, and production scalability.
  • Drive NPI execution across spacecraft programs, partnering closely with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Test teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing development strategies that support aggressive production ramp goals while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
  • Establish robust manufacturing processes, assembly flows, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and test methodologies for new and existing spacecraft hardware.
  • Lead production readiness reviews, risk assessments, and factory integration planning for new products and major design changes.
  • Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with leadership to define factory scaling strategies, resource planning, capital investments, and long-term manufacturing roadmaps.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM), design-for-assembly (DFA), and design-for-test (DFT) best practices across engineering teams.
  • Build and develop high-performing technical teams while fostering a culture of urgency, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, automation strategies, and production systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support rapid development timelines and evolving program priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading manufacturing, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or production development organizations within aerospace, automotive, or other high-complexity hardware industries.
  • Proven track record successfully bringing new products from development into production and scaling manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft, aerospace, electromechanical, or high-reliability hardware assembly and integration processes.
  • Experience developing manufacturing systems, tooling, production lines, and test infrastructure for complex hardware programs.
  • Deep knowledge of NPI methodologies, production readiness processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across engineering and production organizations, driving alignment between design intent and manufacturing execution.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with experience building high-performing technical organizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and decision-making abilities in fast-paced development environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience supporting rapid production ramps and scaling manufacturing operations in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards applicable to flight hardware manufacturing.

This role requires a practitioner who not only knows FDA culture and regulatory frameworks, but can also operationalize them, drafting documents, building processes, and coordinating cross‑functional activities. Successful candidates will be able to interface with our customer’s regulatory leads to ensure alignment and successful deployment of our AI in the pharma and medtech space. This role reports to the General Counsel, and will work closely with our legal, pharma, clinical, and IT teams.

What You’ll Do

Regulatory Strategy & Execution

  • Help develop and support regulatory strategies and submissions for AI‑enabled SaMD products, including classification, marketing applications (e.g., NDAs, De Novo, 510(k)), and pre‑submission pathways.

  • Help develop and support regulatory documentation that enables our customers in the pharma and medtech space to meet their compliance obligations when using Hippocratic AI’s products.

  • Lead hands‑on preparation of regulatory submissions with Legal: drafting sections, coordinating data inputs, managing timelines, and ensuring high‑quality documentation.

  • Build, manage, and continuously improve a practical regulatory compliance structure across SaMD development lifecycles.

  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, clinical, product, and quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211, 21 CFR Part 820, SaMD guidance, AI/ML‑specific expectations and guidance, cybersecurity, and labeling requirements.

  • Help design, support, and maintain a compliant regulatory framework and Pharma‑partner guidelines, including iterative AI development, model updates, QMS and GMP requirements, audits and inspections, real‑world performance, and post‑market monitoring and mitigation.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, controlled documents, audit readiness materials, and inspection response processes.

  • Stay ahead of evolving regulatory policies and draft internal guidance to translate new requirements into clear action for cross‑functional teams.

  • Interact with customer regulatory leads to facilitate deployment of Hippocratic’s solutions with customers in the pharma and medtech industry.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Partner with legal, product, and engineering teams during development to define regulatory requirements early and de‑risk product strategy.

  • Educate technical and clinical teams on regulatory expectations, FDA and pharmaceutical industry norms, and quality documentation needs.

  • Drive internal regulatory training and ensure that cross‑functional teams have clear guidance, templates, timelines, and expectations.

  • Bring creative, practical solutions to regulatory challenges inherent in AI technology in the healthcare space.

Innovation & Process Building

  • Build lightweight regulatory processes appropriate for a startup environment without sacrificing compliance.

  • Use regulatory knowledge to enable innovation, not block it — finding pathways that support speed, safety, and responsible AI.

  • Identify gaps in regulatory readiness and implement corrective actions proactively.

  • Contribute to internal playbooks, templates, and scalable processes across regulatory and compliance functions.

What You Bring

Must‑Have:

  • 10‑12 years of regulatory affairs experience spanning medical devices, digital health, pharmaceuticals, and related FDA‑regulated products.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science required.

  • Experience working at the FDA or directly interfacing extensively with FDA. Strong experience with FDA regulations and regulatory landscape.

  • Strong understanding of industry, including clinical trials, drug and device development, patient support services, ad/promo, pharmacovigilance, and post‑market activities.

  • Strong experience with drug, device, and SaMD development, submissions, and regulatory pathways.

  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled medical technologies, machine learning considerations, and evolving FDA expectations for AI/ML.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic startup environments with limited structure and high ownership.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for FDA submissions and internal education.

Nice‑to Have:

  • Experience working in a startup or emerging‑growth private company.

Director, Commercial Strategy
EcoDemand, LLC
indiana, pa
Compensation: < 10.000 - < 10.000

EcoDemand® is flipping the script on global commerce. We aren’t just another marketplace; we are an early-stage disruptor building an economy where consumers set the price. After a successful showing at the Ilmac Conference in Switzerland, we are scaling fast. We’re looking for a high-energy Director, Commercial Strategy to spearhead our vendor acquisition strategy and prep us for a massive European market launch in late 2026.

Job Overview

This isn't a "sit back and delegate" role. As our Commercial Strategy lead, you will be the architect of our market expansion. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and boots-on-the-ground execution. You’ll be responsible for identifying high-value vendor and consumer clusters, navigating complex negotiations, and building the framework for our global sales ecosystem.

Following the success of our product at the Ilmac Conference in Switzerland, the Director will take a leading role in preparing us for our European market launch in early fall 2026.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Market Intelligence: Map out the competitive landscape and identify "blue ocean" opportunities for our unique consumer-led pricing model.
  • Partnership Architecture: Identify and secure strategic alliances and licensing opportunities that align with our long-term disruption goals.
  • Vendor Ecosystem Growth: Take the lead on building a robust network of global vendors, ensuring they understand the power of our real-time analytics suite.
  • Launch Readiness: Play a pivotal role in our Fall 2026 European expansion, translating market feedback into actionable platform enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Work directly with Product and Marketing teams to ensure the "voice of the vendor" is heard in every update we push.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5–7+ years of aggressive business development or sales leadership (Startup experience is a huge plus).
  • Education: BA/BS degree; an MBA is preferred but we value proven track records above all.
  • The "Closer" Mentality: You don't just find leads; you build the financial feasibility models and negotiate terms that stick.
  • Analytical Rigor: You love data. You use it to back up your strategies and to prove ROI to potential partners.
  • Agility: You thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment and can pivot quickly based on user feedback.

*Compensation with equity ownership

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $1.00 per year

Compensation: 125.000 - 150.000

Build The Foundation of Youth Coaching

Location: On-site | Venice Beach, CA — 5 days a week

Type: Full-Time

This is tapouts' first-ever Product hire.

About Us

tapouts is an online platform built on a program developed by educators and scientists to create a fun and safe space for children ages 4–16. Through a team of certified coaches, tapouts delivers Social Emotional Learning (SEL) experiences that help kids express their feelings, improve self-control and build confidence

Our mission goes beyond teaching skills, we are dedicated to nurturing the emotional and psychological well‑being of the next generation. Imagine being part of a team that transforms the lives of a million children and their families. By joining tapouts, you are not just taking on a job but using your talents for a deeply rewarding cause.

About The Role

This is a rare and defining opportunity. As tapouts' first Head of Product, you won't just be managing a roadmap, you will be building the entire product function from the ground up. You'll set the vision, establish the culture, hire and develop the team, and shape the experiences that millions of kids and families will love.

This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and leadership. You'll own all three: from defining the product strategy and overseeing UX/design to building the processes, frameworks, and team that will carry tapouts into its next phase of growth. You'll work directly with our founders, Engineering, and Marketing

We're looking for innovation. Someone who thrives in ambiguity, creates structure from chaos, and leads with both vision and humility. If you've ever wanted to own something entirely, from zero. This is it.

What Success Looks Like

  • Product Foundation Built: A clear product vision, roadmap, and operating processes are in place within the first 90 days.
  • Retention → Lifetime Value: Families stay longer, driving measurable lifetime value growth.
  • Engagement That Lasts: Kids return week after week through gamification, progress tracking, and emotionally resonant experiences.
  • Design Excellence: A consistent, child‑friendly, and parent‑trusted design language across all product surfaces.
  • Team in Place: A high‑performing product and design team hired, onboarded, and operating effectively.
  • Cross‑Team Flow: Product, design, engineering, and coaching ops deliver in sync.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the overall product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap in close partnership with the co‑founders.
  • Translate tapouts' mission into concrete product experiences that drive engagement, retention, and LTV.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities and gaps.

Design & User Experience

  • Own the end‑to‑end design function — from UX strategy and information architecture to visual design and design systems.
  • Ensure all product experiences are developmentally appropriate, emotionally engaging, and accessible for kids and parents.

Product Development & Execution

  • Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, iteration, and optimization.
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering to prioritize features, manage trade‑offs, and ship with quality and speed.
  • Build and maintain a product roadmap that balances short‑term impact with long‑term strategic bets.

Leadership & Team Building

  • Build and lead tapouts' product and design team from scratch — this is the foundational hire.
  • Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop product managers, designers, and product analysts as the team grows.

Requirements

  • Have 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior leadership role (Head of Product, Director of Product, or equivalent).
  • Have been the first product hire at a startup, or have built a product function from zero
  • Have experience designing for kids, families, or EdTech — ideally with knowledge of gamification, behavioral design, or SEL (Social Emotional Learning).
  • Have a strong track record on service products that drive retention, engagement, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Have hands‑on experience owning or closely collaborating on design — you understand UX, design systems, and what it takes to build beautiful, intuitive experiences.
  • Have experience hiring and developing product teams — you know how to spot great talent and bring out the best in people.
  • Are deeply data‑driven and comfortable linking product decisions to retention, engagement, and LTV metrics.
  • Thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous startup environments and love bringing order to chaos.
  • Are an exceptional communicator — you can inspire a team, influence stakeholders, and explain complex ideas simply.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity — this is a foundational role and will be compensated accordingly.
  • Healthcare, dental, vision, competitive PTO, and parental leave.
  • Budget for conferences, courses, and continuous learning.
  • Direct access to and partnership with the co‑founding team.
  • The autonomy to build something entirely yours — the product org, the culture, the roadmap
