Prepare individual, business, and other tax returns accurately and efficiently.
Support tax planning and advisory projects under senior leadership guidance.
Conduct tax research and stay updated on federal and state tax regulations.
Participate in audit engagements including planning, fieldwork, testing, documentation, and financial reporting.
Review client documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Manage tax and audit engagements for various clients including businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and specialized entities.
Utilize tax preparation, audit, workflow, and document management software to complete assignments.
Collaborate with accounting professionals to deliver quality client service.
Maintain confidentiality of client financial information.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines during peak tax seasons.
Assist with financial reporting and accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications And Certifications
5+ years of experience in tax preparation and/or audit preferred.
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
CPA license or progress toward CPA certification preferred but not required.
Experience with tax preparation and audit software platforms.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
