In its simplest form, the SGP’s role is to educate the Compass Agent Community on the benefits and importance of contributing to the Strategic Growth of Compass. Successful SGPs partner with Compass Agents to identify who in their network of Prospective Agents should be introduced to a Strategic Growth Manager. The Strategic Growth Manager then meets with the Prospective Agent to discuss the Compass value proposition (technology, marketing, culture and growth). SGPs are the future of the Strategic Growth organization. In addition to the direct impact this role has as a partner to the SGMs in the market, you will ultimately be working toward the goal of becoming an SGM yourself. From onboarding all the way through a formal SGP-to-SGM training program, your focus will be on developing the skills and knowledge that line a direct path into the closing sales position.

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • You generate new business opportunities to build our sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts
  • Outreach directly into prospective agents that fit our ideal persona via cold-calls, text, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns and other methods
  • Articulate our value prop and objection handle to create qualified opportunities in your market
  • You work closely with the Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies,
  • Document all activities within our CRM, maintaining flawless data management
  • Drive active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create new processes and refine existing processes through innovative thinking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience with history of strong performance (SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, Account Management)

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $38.46-$43.27 per hour ($80,000-$90,000 annualized); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.

  • Lifting: Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more and are unloaded by the team member using a hand truck. Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 high.
  • Carrying: Large cans, weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, are carried from the workstation to storage shelves; occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds is carried from the storage room to the front of the store; trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time over short distances, and weigh approximately 12 pounds per tray.
  • Pushing: To move trays which are placed on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24-30 and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled.
  • Climbing: Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.

Stooping/Bending

  • Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station.
  • Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station.
  • Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day.
  • Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.

Crouching/Squatting

  • Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas.

Reaching

  • Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward.
  • Workers reach above 72 occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves.

Compensation

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. Zone C: $167,100 - $222,800

General Manager

As a General Manager, you will be the key leader for your yard, overseeing all facets of operations, sales, profitability, and safety to ensure the facility meets or exceeds its goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage day‑to‑day facility operations, including production, planning, logistics, and inventory control, ensuring smooth workflows and maximum efficiency. Ensure all customer and SA Recycling service level agreements, expectations, quality, and production standards are met.
  • Safety & Compliance: Develop, train, and enforce all established safety procedures and protocols, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Responsible for the safety and security of the employees, facility, materials, and equipment, as well as identifying and implementing the appropriate training and certifications for all employees.
  • Financial Performance: Manage the yard budget, analyze financial reports, monitor P&L, and identify areas for cost reduction and increased profitability.
  • Sales & Procurement: Lead commercial efforts, including the purchase of ferrous and non‑ferrous scrap metals, to increase market share and volume. Conduct sales calls and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive, productive, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the metal recycling or a related industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ferrous and Non Ferrous processing and production experience.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in leading fast‑paced and diverse operations.
  • Advanced organizational and problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented mentality.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to communicate effectively, interact with customers and suppliers, manage and motivate employees, and promote a strong company culture centered on safety and quality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Knowledge of industry‑specific software (e.g., RIMAS, ASA) is a plus.
  • Operations of heavy equipment a plus.

  • Willingness to work in both office and outdoor yard environments in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue through Simulator Rentals, Food and Beverage Sales, and League sales

Required Qualifications
