A Registered Nurse is needed for a night-shift position on the Surgical Inpatient Unit at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM — a facility that regularly receives Level I and II trauma cases and serves the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

The role. This RN position is on a 24-bed surgical inpatient unit where nurses carry a maximum patient ratio of 1:6 and can expect a steady flow of admits and discharges throughout the shift. The unit serves an adult population (ages 18 and older) with a mix of orthopedic, neurosurgical, abdominal, and medical-nephrology patients. Core clinical work centers on post-operative care following ortho, neurosurgical, and abdominal procedures, along with management of NG tubes, chest tubes, Foley catheters, and TURP patients. Nurses on this unit also routinely manage respiratory complications, diabetic care, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, rib fractures, altered mental status, and complex pain management. Charting is done in Cerner.

What we're looking for.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) degree required
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience
  • BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.

  • Clinic BCBA will support their caseload by providing behavior analytic supervision to ABA therapists.  
  • BCBA may be providing supervision for BT’s or RBT’s working 1:1 with students, delivering evidence-based supervision techniques such as behavioral skills training.  
  • BCBA may not only need to administer skills assessments, but also preference, and reinforcer assessments.  
  • BCBA will provide programming to support the students to achieve their treatment goals.  
  • BCBA will be required to create behavior support plans, based on the clients’ individual needs and behaviors.  
  • Additionally, considerations should be made for families and their level of experience, for family training sessions.  
  • Family training targets may need to be explicitly written and explained to those who have little to no experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis.  
  • BCBA will set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing and accurate data collection is occurring.  
  • BCBA will attend team meetings for coordination of care as requested by the family and be prepared to report on current levels of behaviors. BCBA must be comfortable leading others in behavior crisis situations, utilizing behavior analytic principles.  
  • BCBA will need to hold the ability to be flexible and accommodating for companies updates in changes to policies and procedures and work-related expectations.
