Solutions Architect - Private Equity, Global Private Equity Solution Architects
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
new york, ny
Compensation: 144.500 - 195.400

Description

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and consistent support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow.

In this role you will work directly with Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies and consulting partners to drive the adoption of technology, including generative AI, that will allow them to achieve their desired operational business outcomes. You should enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help customers, colleagues and partners embrace and adopt emerging capabilities such as generative AI, machine learning, and agentic AI. You will provide thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value that technology creates for our customers, including how generative AI can accelerate value creation across a PE portfolio.

Responsibilities will include increasing awareness of Amazon's cloud computing and generative AI business value proposition within PE firms' portfolio customers, engaging systems integration and M&A Advisory partners, and driving the technical relationships with PE thought leaders to help create new opportunity pipelines. You will enable the AWS Business Development and Sales teams to more effectively drive their day‑to‑day interactions with key prospects. You will work closely with AWS Account Solutions Architects, Business Development and Professional Services teams to help PE customers migrate their legacy applications, adopt generative AI, as well as develop and build cloud‑native and AI‑powered applications to grow and transform their businesses. This includes leveraging successful migration patterns, cloud‑native application architectures (Microservices, Serverless, Containers), generative AI services (such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, and foundation models), and application development and operations practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables them to drive customer engagement with business, finance or IT executives at the highest levels of our PE customers. You will have the presence and capability to communicate the benefits of cloud computing and generative AI to application architects, enterprise architects, platform architects, infrastructure architects and engineers, data scientists, and enterprise security and compliance teams. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long‑term about the needs of businesses, and be deeply familiar with complex, legacy IT environments including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information security, and operations, as well as an understanding of how generative AI can be applied responsibly and securely within those environments. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, including in the rapidly evolving generative AI space, so you can make impactful contributions to architecture discussions with customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications, services, and generative AI solutions on the AWS platform.

Responsible for establishing technical credibility in sales cycles (personally or with the broader technical team), and can credibly drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, Chief AI Officers, etc. from both customer and partners across the PE segment.

Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well‑defined objectives and success criteria.

Provide technical and architectural guidance to PE firms and their portfolio of investments, including guidance on adopting generative AI, and help develop cost optimization strategies by deploying the right architecture and AWS pricing models.

Work closely with Private Equity Firms and their portfolio companies to ensure they have the technical resources required to be successful using AWS services, including generative AI services.

Build rapport with Executives at both the Private Equity firm and their companies leveraging your understanding of enterprise architecture, merger and acquisitions, migration, generative AI adoption, and cost optimization of IT infrastructure and other key technologies (Cloud, generative AI, machine learning, software development, open source software tools, infrastructure management, migrations etc.).

Overview Kastle is the nation’s leading provider of Managed Security Services. We are committed to providing a ‘Wow’ customer experience and we continually invest in the next big ideas to shape and transform our industry. We are proud to say that our people are the industry’s best and we work hard to create a culture that provides a compelling career for talented individuals.

The Security Systems Solutions Architect (SSA) is a senior, customer-facing technical expert within Kastle's Product organization. The SSA leads technical discovery and solution validation on complex projects — including engagements involving new engineering, third-party products or integrations outside the Kastle product portfolio, or non-standard infrastructure — ensuring that scope is fully defined and technically sound before installation begins. The SSA is available to any project requiring deeper product or engineering expertise in customer-facing settings. The SSA also develops the discovery standards, tools, and reference designs used across the sales and delivery organization; coaches Sales Engineers in advanced discovery; and partners with Product Management on requirements intake, alpha and beta programs, and roadmap input. The position works closely with sales, the Presales Business Manager, sales engineering, project management, and the Integrations team, and is a key contributor to reducing change orders, rework, and schedule risk on complex installations.

Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Technical Discovery & Solution Validation

  • Lead technical discovery on complex projects, with emphasis on engagements involving new product engineering, third-party products or integrations outside the Kastle product portfolio, or non-standard network environments.
  • Participate directly in customer discovery and solutioning conversations on qualifying projects, identifying technical risks, gaps, and constraints as solutions are developed.
  • Validate proposed scope for technical accuracy and completeness before contract award, including network architecture, integration requirements, infrastructure conditions, and site constraints.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for projects that meet Kastle's complex-project criteria — and for any project where deeper product or engineering representation is requested — determining what additional discovery or validation is required.
  • Partner with the Integrations team on projects involving third-party API integrations and SDK partner deployments — leading pre-award feasibility and scoping when a solution requires products or integrations outside the Kastle product portfolio, transferring validated scope at contract award, and codifying proven integration patterns into reference designs for reuse.
  • Verify that customer network and infrastructure requirements — including firewalls, VLAN segmentation, and customer-managed environments — are documented and resolved prior to installation.
  • Support project delivery teams on complex projects through installation and commissioning, ensuring solutions are implemented as designed.

Solution Design

  • Design integrated electronic security solutions spanning access control, video surveillance, VMS, and intrusion detection for complex projects.
  • Produce solution documentation including layouts, device maps, schematics, and integration diagrams.
  • Evaluate customer legacy systems and define how existing equipment integrates with Kastle offerings.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.

Discovery Standards & Tools

  • Develop and maintain the standardized discovery toolkit used on complex projects, including discovery checklists, network requirement questionnaires, reference designs, and scoping templates.
  • Continuously improve discovery standards based on field outcomes, recurring issues, and product changes.
  • Define the criteria and process for engaging the SSA on qualifying projects.

Coaching & Enablement

  • Coach Sales Engineers in advanced discovery techniques, including recognizing technical risk during live customer conversations.
  • Lead post-project technical debriefs and maintain a shared knowledge base of common scoping pitfalls and lessons learned.
  • Develop and deliver technical training on discovery practices, product capabilities, and solution design.

Product Partnership

  • Partner closely with Product Managers as the field-facing extension of the Product organization, maintaining a working knowledge of the product roadmap and using it to inform solution design and customer conversations.
  • Curate product enhancement requests arising from the field: consolidate needs raised by Sales Engineers, the Integrations team, delivery teams, and customers; identify recurring patterns across sources; and frame them as well-formed requirements — problem, context, impact, and affected customers — ready for Product Management evaluation.
  • Lead alpha and beta programs in the field: identify suitable customer sites, define success criteria with Product Management, oversee field trials of new products and features, and deliver structured findings that inform release readiness.
  • Represent field and customer realities in roadmap discussions, providing input on prioritization, product gaps, and integration needs.
  • Monitor competitive offerings and industry technology trends relevant to complex deployments.

Certifications & Technical Expertise

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, emerging technologies, and technology partner solutions.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications from key technology partners as required. Certifications are often highly technical in nature.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing or engineering physical security systems, including complex, multi-system projects.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
    • Access control, video surveillance, VMS, and intrusion detection systems.
    • IP networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, VLANs and subnetting, firewalls and NAT, DHCP/DNS, and PoE.
    • Enterprise and customer-managed network environments.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery with customers and to identify scope risk during live solutioning discussions.
  • Experience developing technical standards, tools, or reference designs for use by others.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring technical staff.
  • Experience supporting the product development lifecycle — such as structuring customer requirements, running field evaluations, or participating in alpha/beta programs — preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret security and infrastructure drawings, including floor plans, riser diagrams, network topologies, and device schedules.
  • Proficiency with network diagnostic and diagramming tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio, Wireshark, IP scanners), and comfort with command-line interfaces for network diagnostics and device configuration.
  • Networking certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA) a plus.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned customer regions.

Senior Software Engineer, Agent Platform
ShopMy
new york, ny
Compensation: 145.000 - 225.000

Join ShopMy – Powering the Future of Digital Marketing

ShopMy is transforming e-commerce by building the infrastructure for human-led curation at scale. We help brands run performance-driven creator programs while enabling top creators to monetize their influence and partner directly with the brands they love—driving discovery through trusted tastemakers and authentic recommendations.

ShopMy recently became a unicorn, raising at a $1.5B valuation with backing from Bessemer Venture Partners, Avenir Growth Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures.

At ShopMy, you're building the future of human-led commerce for the world's best brands, tastemakers, and shoppers. You move fast and see immediate impact in your work, alongside accomplished teammates who are driven by helping find the world's best things. If you’re excited to help shape the future of curated commerce at the intersection of technology, culture, and taste, we’d love to meet you.

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Director of Engineering building ShopMy's agent orchestration platform: the system our AI agents are built, run, managed, and improved on. Your job is the platform itself: the trigger layer that routes every inbound event from Slack, Linear, GitHub, and the ShopMy product; durable multi-step workflows; human-in-the-loop approvals; agent memory; evals; cost attribution; and the console it's all managed through. You'll partner closely with the agent managers who design and run the agents themselves. It's a small team with broad ownership, and the design challenge is keeping it a true platform - model-agnostic, with diverse triggers, composable workflows, and abstractions that make the next agent cheap to launch instead of a one-off build.

Your Impact to the Role

  • Design and evolve the orchestration core: a declarative trigger system spanning Slack, Linear, cron, and HTTP; durable workflows; and agent runs that can suspend and resume around human approval
  • Find the abstractions that keep the platform general, so the next agent or workflow composes existing machinery instead of forking a new code path
  • Build the tool layer that gives agents their capabilities: Slack, Linear, GitHub, Notion, MCP, and a dynamic tool registry
  • Build the management console agent managers use to create, evaluate, and improve agents (React)
  • Make agent behavior legible: run tracing, evals and judges, feedback loops, and per-run cost attribution
  • Design and implement APIs in TypeScript and NestJS backed by Postgres
  • Deploy and operate the platform on AWS (ECS, ALB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)

You Are Energized By

  • Platform engineering with your users in the building: agent managers build on what you ship, and feedback arrives in hours, not quarters
  • Working where the patterns aren't established yet: durable execution, human-in-the-loop, memory, and evals for nondeterministic systems are problems you’ll help define
  • Finding the abstraction that turns a special case into a capability
  • Solving complex technical challenges with clean, efficient, and scalable code

What We're Looking For

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and relational databases
  • Experience building systems other engineers build on: internal platforms, frameworks, orchestration or developer tooling, and the API design instincts that come with it
  • Enough hands-on time with LLMs to be comfortable building an agent yourself: tool calling, context and memory, and evaluating nondeterministic behavior
  • Experience building interfaces that make complex systems easy to understand and manage
  • Experience deploying and operating production services on AWS: containers, ECS, ALB, and monitoring with CloudWatch or similar
  • AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of how you work
  • Keen attention to detail in code structure and style
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Bonus Points

  • You've built on or operated durable-execution or workflow engines (Temporal or similar), or rolled your own
  • You've shipped agent systems, built with agent frameworks (LangGraph, the Claude Agent SDK, or similar), written MCP servers, or built eval harnesses
  • Experience working in high-growth startups or fast-paced product environments
  • Enjoy mentoring and helping shape engineering best practices and team culture

Senior Software Engineer - GPU Sandboxes
nineDots.io
san francisco, ca
Compensation: 180.000 - 240.000

Give every AI agent its own GPU Senior Software Engineer – GPU Sandboxes

San Francisco onsite | Relocation considered | Equity offered

AI agents increasingly need more than access to a model. They need their own secure compute environment, with real GPU capacity available in seconds.

That is what you’ll help build.

You’ll join a well-funded AI infrastructure company creating isolated, stateful computers that agents can launch and control through an API. The GPU platform is still being built, so you won’t be maintaining someone else’s architecture you’ll be instrumental in defining how it works.

You’ll work deep in the stack across:

KVM/QEMU and GPU passthrough

VFIO, IOMMU and PCIe isolation

NVIDIA drivers and CUDA lifecycle

VM boot paths, snapshots and cold-start performance

GPU-aware scheduling and bin-packing

Health monitoring, failure detection and automated recovery

Security boundaries across shared hosts

They need someone who has built or debugged the underlying virtualization, isolation or device layer in production. KVM/QEMU, Cloud Hypervisor or Firecracker would be ideal, although similarly deep experience with crosvm, Kata Containers, Xen or another hypervisor can translate.

You should also have operated GPUs in production and be comfortable tracing difficult failures across the hypervisor, Linux kernel, drivers and physical hardware.

Go, Rust or C/C++ can all work.

This is rare, high-impact systems engineering with very little existing playbook. You’ll have genuine influence over the architecture, technical direction and foundations of a GPU platform being built for the next generation of AI agents.

Onsite in San Francisco, with relocation considered and equity offered.
