Human Agency
arlington, tx
Compensation: 70.000 - 90.000

Overview

Location: Remote (US or Canada)

Type: US-based candidates - Full-Time; Canada-based candidates - Independent Contractor

About Human Agency: We're scaling rapidly with a growing pipeline of opportunities across disciplines. Our mission is to bring on individuals who can help realize this next chapter of growth.

We are a company of doers. Leaders roll up their sleeves, teams work flat, and everyone contributes to what ships. We invite critique, learn quickly, and keep raising the bar. We deliver strong outcomes for clients, built on beautiful and functional products designed for real-world impact. We hire to raise the bar across strategy, engineering, design, data, and operations.

We partner with organizations to explore, design, and implement AI strategies that are secure, scalable, and human-centered. Our work aims to empower teams to work smarter, move faster, and unlock new possibilities through thoughtful, responsible innovation.

We lead with purpose, love, and adventure, and we operate in a way that aligns who we are with how we work.

The Role

This role asks what happens to human agency when AI reshapes everything, and we intend to be the voice in that conversation. You will build a media platform and a movement from momentum you inherit, owning the founder’s personal brand and the Human Agency company brand across blog, podcast, social, book, and newsletter. Treat it like your own business, because it is.

You won’t just be a content operator; you’ll be the engine behind one of the most compelling voices in a worldwide conversation.

What You’ll Own

There are two tracks running simultaneously, both requiring full ownership.

Track One: Founder Brand

  • Grow and manage the founder's presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Substack, and podcast
  • Write and produce social content yourself, and build AI agents that generate strong first drafts you shape and finesse
  • Own the full content pipeline: ideation, production, trafficking, scheduling, and distribution across every channel
  • Build and run the analytics layer, tracking performance and informing future content
  • Own the commercial side: podcast sponsorships, partnership deals, speaking pipeline, paid products
  • Develop systems so the founder contributes the thinking and you build the machine that turns it into content at scale

Track Two: Human Agency Brand

  • Own the blog, company social presence, and team thought leadership content
  • Set the editorial standard so all publishing feels authentic, not like a content factory
  • Build systems that let the broader team contribute without you becoming the bottleneck

The AI Requirement

  • You are obsessed with using AI to multiply your output while preserving judgment
  • You build AI agents and automated workflows to handle repeatable parts of content production
  • You use tools to produce at a high volume without shipping AI slop
  • You stay as the human editor and taste-maker
  • You have opinions about where AI content tools are headed and are building toward it

If AI is something you’re just starting to explore, this role is not for you; you should already be experimenting, building, and shipping with it.

Who You Are

You’ve lived in the creator economy, not just adjacent to it.

  • You know how the LinkedIn algorithm works today
  • You understand podcast sponsorships, CPMs, dynamic ad insertion, and what deals require
  • You read Substack analytically, not just as a consumer
  • You have opinions about platform changes and what they mean for content strategy

You may have built your own platform or been the engine behind someone else with a serious following. You don’t seek the spotlight; you want the thing to grow. You’re commercially minded with an eye for hooks, conversion, and distribution, paired with genuine editorial taste.

What We’re Looking For

We want to see proven outcomes from prior work. Specifically:

  • A founder, executive, or public figure’s following you grew, with real numbers
  • A podcast you launched or operated with tangible sponsorships and audience growth
  • A newsletter or Substack you grew to a meaningful subscriber base
  • Content you connected directly to revenue (deals, paid products, or partnerships)
  • AI workflows or agents you built to scale your own content production

We don’t require corporate content director experience within a large marketing organization, or a background in B2B demand generation or sales enablement. We’re looking for a proven ability to grow an audience and to connect content with revenue. Experience with sponsorship development, monetization structures, or paid content products is a genuine requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Why This One

If you’re reading this and it feels different from typical postings, that’s intentional. This is a greenfield build with real resources behind it. The mission is compelling, leadership is aligned, and the right person will have a tangible, career-long impact.

The conversation we’re trying to lead about AI, human agency, and the future we’re building is one of the most important topics today. This role is the engine.

Equal Opportunity Commitment

Human Agency is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building inclusive, high-performing teams where everyone can do their best work.

To apply: Tell us what you’ve built, what the numbers were, and why this moment makes this the right move. A portfolio or links to your work matter more than a cover letter. We’re looking for proof, not polish.

  • Have strong media fluency and judgement, with relationships across technology, automotive, business, policy, or industry press.
  • Know what makes news and can shape strong story angles from technical, commercial, and market developments.
  • Can quickly understand complex technical concepts and translate them for both expert and non‑expert audiences.
  • Have the presence and expertise to advise senior leaders through media and podcast opportunities, speaking engagements, sensitive issues, and high‑stakes external moments.
  • Are an exceptional, detail‑oriented operator who can manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, approvals, agencies, and deadlines.
  • Stay calm under pressure and can assess risk, align stakeholders, and move quickly.
  • Are direct, collaborative, and humble, with a high‑ownership mindset and a bias toward action.
  • Are curious about autonomy, AI, robotics, safety, and the future of transportation—and not afraid to ask the right questions.
  • Have experience using AI tools to improve research, synthesis, drafting, scenario planning, and workflow efficiency, while applying strong editorial judgment, confidentiality, and accountability for final output.

Bonus Points

  • Existing relationships with automotive, transportation, mobility, robotics, AI, or technology reporters.
  • Background in autonomous vehicles or the broader mobility ecosystem.
  • Experience with policy, regulatory, or public affairs communications.
