Minimum Qualifications  

  • Current dental hygienist license in Kentucky and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office

It is also the regions only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. Hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network.

Our Medical Director Leadership Academy (MDLA) will position you for success in quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with the facility leadership as a valued partner of the team. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Monitor progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a team approach
  • Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations

Qualifications

  • Current physician license (State of TN) and DEA
  • Experience in post-acute, acute, ED, or clinic settings preferred, but not required; new grads welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards

Description

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento and/or Roseville, California.

This is a supplemental (per diem), non-benefited position working in an outpatient clinic setting.

Position Highlights

  • Flexible schedule: 1-2 days per week preferred
  • Shift-based role with variable compensation based on wRVU production
  • Outpatient-only practice
  • No call responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diabetes patients (including insulin pump management)
  • Urgent endocrine consults
  • STAT medication refill needs
  • Other time-sensitive endocrine concerns

The physician will:

  • Evaluate and stabilize patients during the visit
  • Provide up to one follow-up visit if necessary
  • Transition ongoing care back to the patient's established endocrinology provider

Practice Structure

  • No independent patient panel
  • Will manage their own in-basket during scheduled clinic days
  • Urgent issues on non-clinic days will be triaged by clinical staff or an in-house endocrinologist
  • No in-basket coverage responsibilities for other providers

Documentation & Workflow

  • Develop and utilize personalized note templates to ensure continuity of care
  • Use standardized communication (dot phrases) in the After Visit Summary (AVS) to clarify role and availability
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to set clear patient expectations regarding limited availability and scope of care
