In the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant role, you will help this company in its commitment to serving others by administering occupational therapy treatment to program participants according to a program plan developed by a licensed occupational therapist.

  • Assure all program participants receive scheduled occupational therapy treatments and documents therapy sessions.
  • Perform active, passive and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, general therapy principles on program participants.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contra-indications of heating modalities and techniques.
  • Fabricate appropriate splints under instruction of occupational therapist and instructs program participant in splint wear and care.
  • Train program participants in homebound and community level, including endurance training.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments.
  • Confer with staff members and other health care members to exchange, discuss and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program and participates in treatment planning with trans-disciplinary team as requested. Adhere to ethics of confidentiality.
  • Take inventory of current occupational therapy equipment and confers with department regarding current status and future needs. Request supplies as needed.
  • Maintain or check daily billing logs for program participants.
  • Follow daily scheduling patterns, communicates with staff, and adjusts schedules as needed for flexibility.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT
  • Two years experience in neurorehabilitation preferred
  • Licensed as COTA/L in State.

Physical Requirements:

  • Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Summary: The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for the registration and onboarding of Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides. The Onboarding Coordinator will assist the Aides with their application, document collection, as well as refer them to our training program where applicable.

RN Supervisor for Evening Shift

Schervier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is actively seeking a compassionate RN Supervisor to join our great team for the evening shift.

We are a well-run 364 bed skilled nursing facility located in the Bronx, right near the Hudson River. Our nursing team is caring, energetic, and positive. Join our supportive team and use your skills in an environment that appreciates you!

 

RN Supervisor

Pay rate: $48-$56 per hour, BOE

Availability: Full-time and Part-time 

Shifts: night Shift (Prefer 4pm-12am,

Job Functions:

  • Planning, coordinating, and directing of nursing staff on all shifts on the assigned units
  • Ongoing general evaluation of staff performance and activities, in order to achieve optional resident/patient care.
  • Ensuring continuity of care of the residents between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by CNAs, LPNs and supportive staff members.
  • Interacting with all levels of nursing personnel, other department personnel, and medical providers to assure quality care is provided to each resident/patient.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license and certification, valid in NY
  • Prior nursing home RN experience
