  • Ensure parts are welded correctly by performing the first piece check and submitting it to quality assurance for inspection prior to completing the entire job.
  • Ensure production of the correct number of parts by maintaining records on production
  • Ensure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, method used, anticipated completion time, etc.

Skills/Requirements:

  • 3+ YEARS MIG Welding/Fabricator experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols

Field Service Technicians - Boston, MA M etro A rea

Technicians with excellent skills and customer service needed with the ability to provide strong electrical and mechanical diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.

Responsibilities:

  • The Technician will be performing Warranty, Retrofits, and Acceptance work on hybrid and some eBuses .
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and property staff.
  • Repairs, maintains, troubleshoots and service transit vehicles (all platforms) using skills and tools that range from advanced computer diagnostics to basic mechanical tools, communication, and document solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Self-starter and works independently with limited supervision.
  • Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism.

Experience Includes:

  • 2+ years' experience of directly related work.
  • General knowledge of truck, bus, automotive and/or other vehicle systems.

Pay Rate: $35 and up (P ay is commensurate with skills and experience )

Work Schedule: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday

Travel : Travel is required to various jobsites in the Boston metro area: Quincy, Lynn, Hyde Park, South Boston and Cambridge, MA.
