Life Alive’s dining rooms are designed to evoke a beautiful guest experience, and it’s open production lines are designed to execute exceptional volume with speed and integrity. Maintaining these spaces for our team, guests, and food safety is a core GM responsibility. Experience maintaining large dining rooms, prep and production kitchens, and storage areas is important.

  • Keen eye for detailed cleaning and adherence to cleaning rituals
  • Upkeep of store deep cleans and improvement on process to ensure results
  • Regular Cleanliness audits and training to keep spaces inviting, warm, and tidy

It is essential that our General Managers master cost balancing to keep our business sustainable and thriving. We see profits as a byproduct of making the right choices proactively and consistently. Adherence to established systems and a mindset of ownership are keys to success.

  • Use of sales forecasting (sales ledger), and purchasing (declining budget) tools to align costs with sales appropriately
  • Intra day purchasing and labor management to maintain appropriate margins
  • Responsible for delivery on plan and P&L results for cafe level controllable expenses

Requisite Experience

  • 3 years of General Management experience

General Summary & Scope

The General Manager (GM) leads through Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values to develop a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth for the store. The GM leads a team of managers and is accountable for all aspects of managing a single retail store, inclusive of the salon. This leader drives the store’s business through a focus on performance (sales, service, and expense control), people (talent acquisition, training, and development), and process (standard operating procedures and compliance standards). Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control.
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support store scheduling needs to maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workload on time and within the payroll budget.
  • Address any issues identified by financial and operational reporting, store visits and audit results to achieve Ulta Beauty’s goals set for the store and drive company profitability.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.

  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention.

Job Qualification

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Experience
