What You’ll Do

The ASC Nurse, Pre-Op, Post-Op

Performs nursing functions according to the sequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates and maintains a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook.
  • Provides nursing care according to the sequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning intervention, implementation and evaluation.
  • Opens, cleans and restocks the unit for the day.
  • Assists in preparation of all necessary medication/equipment involved in patient care.
  • Admits patient to procedure room/post-operative area, assess and documents patient status, formulates plan of care and completes all physician orders.
  • Monitors and assesses patient's condition throughout the procedure and/or post-operative period.
  • Provides instructions, information and counseling to patients and their families as needed.
  • Assists in all areas, as needed, to balance work load and assure quality patient care.
  • Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care. This includes attendance/participation in most in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/department policies and procedures.
  • Participates in the orientation and training of new employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 3+ years of experience with 2+ years of experience in critical care, PACU or Medical Surgical Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current PALS.

  • Evidence of working knowledge of the nursing process.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The Facilities Manager is responsible for the daily management, maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of all Casa Esperanza, Inc. facilities and affiliated properties. This position ensures all buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, compliant, and functional condition that supports the organization's mission and provides a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, and community partners.

Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Facilities Manager oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, supervises facilities staff and contractors, coordinates vendor services, manages work orders and inventory tracking , and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements. This position supports capital improvement projects , emergency preparedness initiatives, operational planning, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure Casa Esperanza's facilities remain safe, efficient, and fully operational

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations

  • Manage the daily operations and maintenance of all Casa Esperanza and affiliated facilities.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, and equipment.
  • Ensure all facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant with applicable federal, state, local, licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests through the organization's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure timely completion and documentation of all work orders.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs utilizing in-house staff and outside contractors.
  • Perform or oversee minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, doors, hardware, and general building maintenance.
  • Oversee landscaping, snow removal, waste management, and grounds maintenance services.
  • Ensure building systemsincluding HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, automatic doors, fire alarms, surveillance systems, security alarms, panic buttons, and access control systemsremain fully operational.

Safety, Compliance, and Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, the Department of Public Health, licensing agencies, funding sources, fire safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
  • Conduct and document monthly fire drills and coordinate routine testing of fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness, business continuity, and disaster response activities under the direction of the Director of Operations.
  • Support infection control initiatives by ensuring environmental cleaning standards, sanitation protocols, and facility safety requirements are consistently maintained.
  • Identify and mitigate facility-related risks before they impact operations.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct routine quality inspections of buildings, mechanical systems, safety equipment, grounds, and vehicles.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies and improve operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, vendor documentation, warranties, and regulatory reports.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Vendor and Project Management

  • Coordinate outside contractors and vendors performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and facility improvement projects.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality workmanship, timely completion, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate purchasing of maintenance materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in planning, coordinating, and executing facility renovation, maintenance, and improvement projects.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and completion timelines.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain the organization's computerized maintenance management system (MicroMain or equivalent).
  • Prepare routine reports on work order completion, preventive maintenance activities, regulatory compliance, and facility issues for the Director of Operations.
  • Maintain inventories of maintenance and program supplies in storage , equipment, and replacement parts.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring the annual facilities operating budget.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours facility emergencies as needed.
  • During emergency operations, may be required to report to work or remain on-site until emergency conditions have stabilized.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise Facilities Specialists, Custodians, and contracted maintenance personnel.
  • Assign and prioritize daily work assignments and monitor completion of maintenance activities.
  • Coach, train, mentor, and evaluate facilities staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for daily operations and emergency maintenance response.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to prioritize facility maintenance, operational initiatives, and capital improvement projects .
  • Maintain communication with the development team around fundraising for capital needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, life safety systems, security systems, and general building operations.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare or human services environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating the work of others.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Travel regularly between Casa Esperanza locations.
