Position Summary

We are looking for 2-3 part-time Physician Assistants to provide on-site clinical coverage in an outpatient radiology imaging center, with primary responsibility for direct supervision of examinations requiring contrast administration. The PA is physically present on site during scheduled coverage hours to ensure patient safety, timely medical response, and compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.

Schedule / Hours (Onsite Coverage Required)

  • MondayFriday: 5:00 PM 8:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • PA must be physically present on-site for the duration of assigned shifts.
  • Schedule may vary based on imaging volume and operational needs.

Typical Physical Demands

Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the imaging center for extended periods. Ability to respond rapidly to medical emergencies. Requires manual and finger dexterity as well as eye-hand coordination sufficient to perform patient assessment, emergency interventions, and medication administration.

Typical Working Conditions

Potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite medical oversight and supervision for examinations during contrast administration, in accordance with established protocols and physician direction.
  • Perform in-person patient screening and assessment prior to contrast administration, including review of medical history, allergies, renal function, and contraindications.
  • Identify patient risk factors that may indicate a contraindication to contrast media use or an increased likelihood of an adverse event.
  • Provide recommendations for exam reschedule and/or premedication, if indicated, following ACR contrast media guidelines.
  • Obtain and document informed consent for contrast administration when required.
  • Immediately recognize, evaluate, and manage adverse reactions to contrast agents, including mild, moderate, and severe reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis, hypotension, respiratory distress).
  • Administer emergency interventions as indicated, including medications (epinephrine, antihistamines, corticosteroids) and advanced life support measures, in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Coordinate rapid escalation of care, including activation of emergency medical services (EMS) if required.
  • Collaborate directly with radiologists, technologists, and staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.
  • Document clinical assessments, interventions, contrast reactions, and outcomes in RIS and the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintain current knowledge of contrast agents, risk factors of contrast administration, contrast reaction treatment, emergency response procedures, and advanced life support guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all MR safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state scope-of-practice laws, CMS requirements, ACR guidelines, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory audits as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Experience

  • Prior experience in radiology, imaging, emergency medicine, or acute care preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, emergency management skills, and effective communication.

Certificate/License

  • Active NM Physician Assistant license.
  • NCCPA certification in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

  • Communicates effectively both verbal and written with medical professionals, claims adjuster, client, vendor, supervisor and other parties as needed to negotiate, coordinate appropriate medical care and effective return to work plans utilizing critical thinking skills, clinical expertise and other resources needed to achieve an optimal case outcome.
  • Performs clinical assessment via information in medical/pharmacy reports and case files; assesses client's situation to include psychosocial needs, cultural implications and support systems in place
  • Objectively and critically assesses all information related to the current treatment plan to identify barriers, clarify or determine realistic goals and objectives, and seek potential alternatives.
  • Partners with the adjuster to develop medical resolution strategies to achieve maximal medical improvement or the appropriate outcome
  • Evaluate and update treatment and return to work plans within established protocols throughout the life of the claim.
  • Engage specialty resources as needed to achieve optimal resolution (behavioral health program, physician advisor, peer reviews, medical director).
  • Partner with adjuster to provide input on medical treatment and recovery time to assist in evaluating appropriate claim reserves
  • Maintains client's privacy and confidentiality; promotes client safety and advocacy; and adheres to ethical, legal, accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • May assist in training/orientation of new staff as requested

Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

Active unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required.

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred.

Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing or a related specialty is highly preferred (CCM, COHN, CRRN, etc).

Acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state requirements.

Preferred for license(s) to be obtained within three - six months of starting the job. Written and verbal fluency in Spanish and English preferred

Experience:

Minimum Five (5) years of related experience required to include two (2) years of direct clinical care AND three (3) years of combination of either case management/managed care setting/discharge planning/utilization management required. What You'll Do

As an HVAC Applied Chiller Technician at CCI, you'll take the lead on diagnosing, servicing, and overhauling centrifugal and air-cooled chillers. You'll represent the CCI brand directly with customers, ensuring exceptional service and reliable system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.
  • Support HVAC service needs for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers and facility representatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance on chillers, towers, pumps, and air-handling equipment.
  • Use advanced tools, technologies, and engineering specifications to diagnose issues.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by accurately identifying and resolving equipment problems.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in HVAC preferred.
  • 510 years of HVAC facility maintenance experience.
  • EPA Universal CFC certification (required).
  • UA Journeyman card is a plus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with BAS systems and energy management controls.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal chillers and broad HVAC/mechanical systems.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with ability to operate a company vehicle.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting equipment up to 75 lbs. Vision abilities must include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will assist the Department in providing high quality care to non-invasive, cardiac testing patients. Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will be proficient in monitoring and patient assessment and Pre/Intra/Post care particular to the patients in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department and be competent in the management of patients undergoing Cardioversion, Trans Esophageal ECHO, and all types of Stress Testing. The Non-Invasive RN will coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population. In addition he/she will provide support to non-RN personnel.

  • Perform and assist with cardiac stress testing
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and Cardioversion patients
  • Care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients with a focus on safety, education, and outcomes
  • Accurately obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
  • Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and respond appropriately to changes
  • Educate patients and families on heart health, disease prevention, and health maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver person-centered care

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of one-year nursing experience required.
  • Cardiology experience strongly preferred (Non-Invasive, Critical Care, Telemetry, or Cath Lab experience a plus)
